okay, so i talked to classical for a bit and she's got me caught up on where we're at, gamewise, despite my inability to process the information. At least now I'm confused with a lot of info, instead of confused with no info..

Now, on to the private message I got. It seems the PM wants me back in the game, because I received a message from Kelvinator on the forums about 5 hours ago, entitled "Order"

The body of the message was, "You are the third."

Classical got the same PM, but she is "the second". soooo.. who's the rest of our order?

Well, I just heard back from my brother about the Chinese characters, and it's not good.

He said that there appear to be several characters within one, painted on top of each other basically. So being the clever guy he is - he forwarded it to a bunch of his friends to take a look at. One, a young lady born and raised in Hong Kong, and just recently came to the US. She doesn't have a clue. She said the characters are all muddled. She said she felt a bit embarrassed she wasn't able to pick anything out of it.

He said he's going to keep looking into it - and see if he can't decipher it brush stroke by stroke - but he's got to find his book on it first. Until then - if anyone else knows of a way to decipher this - it'd be a good idea to jump on it.

Same problem here. I asked the help of a friend of mine from china, and she has the same problem with reading the symbols. She did tell me that the most right symbol is 康 , which can mean a lot, but the most common translation is healthy. Also one symbol on the left is 文, which means article. An the left part of the middle thing does mean small. Hope this helps =/

Welcome back tempest.

It looks like they might be picking players at random. Maybe the symbols have something to do with the players they are choosing. I have looked over the yuan again hoping I missed something but, alas nothing has magically appeared.

Well the search for the map continues.

okay so I got an email today, about an hour ago, and normally I would have just passed it off as spam and been done with it.. But it's definitely not trying to sell anything, it's got some strange numbers involved (yay codes), and it's from a yahoo account. too many things coinciding with our game for me to ignore.

the email is from a "Rich Adams", email address "the_45_126_81_63_117_9@yahoo.com" (maybe people have already been emailed by this guy in the past, dunno)

The message has no subject, and the body is "cubits60"

No idea what this means. Here's a screenshot too.

Cubits is a measurement. It could mean 60 cubits.

I have a funny feeling that this isn't related to I'm Sorry, however. I could be wrong, though.

EDIT: I stand corrected.

That's the 'enigma' address that led us to the Hazeltine blog way back when. It's very much IG, as I got one as well that just said 'cubits150'.

... n-not that I know what it means. 150 cubits is somewhere between 218 - 221 feet, depending on who's measuring; 60 cubits is about 88 feet.

Also: I got this while at work, about four hours back.

And I'm thinking, shit! I broke Port!

I failed to get this message, though, that came about an hour earlier because Twitter did not forward it to my phone (fucking Twitter).

okay, so classical is "the second" with "cubits150"

I am "the third" with "cubits60"

there has to be, at the very least, a first.. unless there's some nonsensical game at work here.. so out with it!

I haven't gotten any messages, so I'm pretty sure I'm not it.

And too cute about Port's response to the picture! I'm glad something good's come out of it all.

poking around with google, I stumbled across some uniting factors between me and classical's messages.

Quote:
The Christian missionaries have recently turned their attention to a hadīth which states that the height of Adam was 60 cubits (= 90 feet) tall and have charged this hadīth as a "scientific error". The hadīth in question is from Sahīh al-Bukhārī and is recorded as follows:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, "Go and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring." So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, "As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi" (i.e. Peace and Allah's Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adam's salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,' Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam's creation.

The second part of that quote is directly out of the Quran.

and then I googled 150 cubits, and found out a man in the Netherlands has built a replica of Noah's Ark that measures 150 cubits long. It might all be stretching, but two bible references for us, maybe something there.

edit: apparently this man who built the ark built it to the exact scale the bible gives, so.. http://activerain.com/blogsview/719132/man-builds-noah-s-ark-exact-scale-given-in-bible-

oraclewatch was updated - not sure when. I was sure I checked it for something yesterday. Page appears blank 'til you mouseover where the image is - a backwards printscreen of an email communication. Flipped horizontally it says:

Veep,
Two pods were jettisoned by our friends before the raid. One small envelope to Maryland and one manila envelope to Portland, Oregon of all places. No other details yet.

Betting the Maryland one was Schwinn's yuan.

... so what's the other one?

In the meantime, tempest and I have a theory that Port may be our "first".

Quote:
clas1ca: So uh, random question: have you gotten any weird, spammy-looking emails from a Rich Adams anywhere?

klokworkalex: I haven't logged onto anything but Twitter since I last e-mailed you. Should I be expecting something? Is that who gave you Bean's photo?

clas1ca: I think so. Maybe. I'm acting on a hunch, honestly. If you could, I would really appreciate you checking your email account(s) out for me.

TO BE CONTINUED.

Aw, crap. So much for that theory. WHO'S STILL HOLDING OUT HERE? ):

Court,

No e-mail from anybody on either of my accounts, but it gave me a chance to read back over some old e-mails. Have I mentioned that I think that you're great? I'm still looking forward to this chat one of these days!

Port

oh lol whaaaaaat

Also, if sending that email gets him in trouble again, I will not be pleased. >_>
