For the record:
I just want to say I fucking HATE Star Trek.
I hate Romulans, Vulcans, Magic Jordy Visors, Transporters, Warp Cores, Warped Alien Asses, Hologram rooms and Holographic Meatloaf, Clone Wars, Stargates and anything fucking with the ending "Lactica".
Enough already.
Rant done.

Sounds more like you just hate science fiction.

Because it was designed by the same person.

Nah, I don't hate sci-fi at all. Actually I really like it.
I just enjoy basic sci-fi. Stargate, the movie, was great. So wasn't the first Matrix. Signs too.
What drives me batty is when it becomes so complex you lose focus of the main idea (I.E. Matrix Reloaded).
Look at the Cloverfield ARG: It was still basic, just with a lot of stories.
And it tied together well.

Well, the bulk of Star Trek covers a period of, like, 300 years. Take a look at the past 300 years...it hasn't really been that straight-forward in real life either.

So sad..there's no part 2?
And any updates on the sequel yet? Because when I followed the viral marketing, it was about too late before I knew that there was actually one for Cloverfield..
And if there's no update, I think after making Star Trek, Matt and J.J. will greenlit it again, just like what they did last time..no?

I am fairly certain it's still greenlit, it's just they are taking their time in deciding what will Cloverfield 2 will be like, other than cool that it

Well, there's still Transformers 2. Maybe they'll come up with something for that.
I love Star Trek. Well, this movie anyway, I never watched the original and just causally watched the Next Generation. Still, this movie was great and I love the Narada. If only they shown the coast of New York instead of out in Cali for a possible Clover connection, but oh well.
Also, does anyone think Clover may appear in Fringe? I recall a glimpse of a devestated city and don't want to go any deeper as I'm not sure how to handle Fringe spoilers here, but they definitely have the option on the show considering the situation.

I have to say, i absolutely cannot stand anything Star Trek usually, but JJ made a damn entertaining movie. My wife is the same way with Star Trek and she loved JJ's version too. Very entertaining and edge of your seat from start to finish. And i love seeing that Tagruato building in there. Gotta love JJ for always putting something, be it slusho or whatever, to kinda link all his projects together in a way
