Okay, yeah. Definitely! It's a countdown. The next one has been posted: the Emperor and the High Priestess. 12.

So. Guess what day it's counting down to, then?

July 18th. The same day that Bricker will be at ARGFest.

This means we have 12 more days to figure everything out.
But where to begin?

Let's start with this!

So I mentioned I emailed what address I had for Hatch back when the stuff got changed on the blogs... and I just now got a reply:
Quote:
Not sure why you emailed me but your timing is spot on, they were not able to include this in the package before sending it and I've been considering my options for getting it to Portland, but since the hope is that you will connect the dots and end up with the file anyway I'm going just going to attach this!

It's not safe to email me here anymore.

Attached is the creepy thing below. So... um.

All I'm really getting from this is that the Watchers are trying to contact/deliver a package to Bricker for some reason pertaining to Thomas Lincoln/the One/Black Beauty.
And that's going to be in Portland in two weeks.

(Man! As if I wasn't already excited enough for ARGFest already!)

Why do I get the feeling that instead of solving it before ARG-fest, we have to wait until ARG-fest before we get the clues for the final stage?

Normally, I'd make some witty comment - something about you're actually feeling gas, not premonition Laughing, but I think you're dead on with this one.

I had intended to spend the past few days, flipping through the TGATT manuscript, as well as re-reading the forum from the beginning, but the past 2 days have been ridiculous. What is normally about 10hrs worth of flying from SLC to Ottawa Canada, is now onto day 2 - and I'm still stuck in Detroit. Most of the time I haven't had an internet connection.

And I have to agree with Classical on this one, I've been looking forward to ARGfest regardless, but this will make it that much more entertaining. It's one thing to trade emails/phone calls/IM's with a character IG, but doing a "live" event kinda thing, to collect another clue is just killer.

Is there anyone else from the "folded brood" that will be attending ARGfest aside from Classy and myself? We can turn Classy's shin kicking event into a blanket party! Fun for all - 'cept maybe Bricker haha. All kidding aside, I'm really looking forward to getting to meet the man behind all this. Love it or hate it, he's definitely introduced a lot of new elements to the ARG genre.

Enough rambling, as I'm waiting for my final flight into Canada, I'm going to start reviewing as much as I can. Has anyone had any luck in tracking down any more information on Maury Kelvin? Is there a way to check that cemetery to see if he's maybe been buried there?

There's also a new tweet from Rage:
Quote:
Leaving Ireland later this morning. Picked up a last minute bit of fun over in the Kings Langley area. Hope the folded brood is holding up.

Everything I've saved regarding this is on my laptop, so I'm going to go back over things when I get home from work. I make a better Velma from the comfort of my bed anyway.

Wish I could go to ARGfest! I want to see pictures of this shin-kicking!

just finished all 81 pages ( 2 days wow my head hurts )
was lurking at start but got way laid. I would just like to throw a couple of thoughts out that have possibly no relevance whatsoever Smile Watership Down and Plague Dogs, also by R.A, were very big cult books over here in blighty and of course we have the oldest official Masonic order, due supposedly to fleeing templars. I think there is an apocalyptic warning about the building of the third temple in Jerusalem, which we may have in boxtown.
And also reading the last few posts I cant help feeling anxious about arg fest
what if you get there and some one shoots Bricker and says you lost Smile
sorry for the long post but after 81 pages i had to talk to someone Embarassed
ello by the way Very Happy

Tweets from Port over the past few days that I have really nothing to add to other than what I've already said:
Quote:
(July 5th)
klokworkalex: I'm staying at the Astro Motel in Santa Rosa. It's a total dive and either the walls are way too thin or the prostitutes are way too loud!
I'll keep checking back in case you figure out how I'm supposed to get out to see her. I really appreciate all that you and your friends do.

clas1ca: We'll be in touch, okay? Stay safe, Port, please. Funny that you're in Santa Rosa, though. I know someone in the area.

(Today)
klokworkalex: Still among the living. You know someone here? You know a lot of people, don't you?

clas1ca: No more than the average person! Simply a funny coincidence that you're there, of all places. Anyway, always good to hear from you, Port.

Though dramatic irony is always more fun.

'Cause I have a feeling that hooking up Bricker with Port would probably cause a rip in the time/space continuum and/or brain explody. And no writer's brains are allowed to explode until after ARGFest. (Then it's open season.)

Huh. Call ME paranoid, but maybe we've missed something, here.

I'm still in the midst of going back over everything, but I haven't seen anything yet that anyone else hasn't already. Confused

The only thing I haven't seen mentioned here is readily accessible via twitter - that Rage is back "home" as of 9:37 AM yesterday and that he won't be going to Portland next weekend, as he has "other plans."

ETA: Oh, that, and the countdown is still going on at The Dark Bunny page.

And for what it's worth - the Astro Motel in Santa Rosa is only about 2.2 miles from the Santa Rosa Memorial Park. I haven't seen that thrown out there yet.

I wish I knew what we were missing. Obviously we need to get Port a way to get over to the Brightman. Then, using the directions Rage gave us via that email to Syn - get him into the building.

So we need a boat - but we know because of the TGATT manuscript the place is heavily guarded. My bet is that the Chinese prayer paper we received, as well as the Yuan is the key to getting in there. I'm guessing that we need to use those somehow to get Port over and onto that island.

Perhaps an email to Hatch might help. We're definitely missing something. If I get a chance tonight, I'll try de-stegging those pictures of the map, as well as the latest one showing some of the patients. It'll be difficult if they have password protected them - as we have a lot of different options for possible words at this point.

Damn - Port obviously can't use the Yuan or the prayer sheet, cuz we have them. Brain isn't functioning well today...
[/speculation]

Blargh. Personally, I'm holding out for next week and whatever Bricker has for us at ARGFest.

There are three things that (I think) we are still missing:
1) a way for Port to get to and from the Brightman
2) how to destroy the One
3) where to take the Oracle after it all

We may very well have a way to get him there with what we have already, as Wulf suggested... but once he gets there, then what? He can get around, maybe even get out safely... but after that...

Since the alluded package from the Watchers for Bricker apparently has something to do with the One, I'm also going to assume it has something in there on how to destroy him, like we're supposed to get Port and/or the Oracle to do while he's at the Brightman. And I don't think they're gonna get more than one chance, y'know. :B So, if anything, I don't think Port will be getting into the Brightman until after next weekend at the earliest.

Also, Hatch told me to not email him anymore at the one email address I have from the Craigslist shenangians, so... eh. Do we have another contact for him that I'm missing?

Anyway, I tweeted Port back something along the lines of, 'uhhhh, dunno' so hopefully the PM catches on. /cough cough

heh - i don't think we're gonna get any more hints/help. They were pretty clear about that one.

Maybe we should have Port go down to one of those local bars mentioned in TGATT, and just hang around to see what he can here. Maybe there will be a chance of help there....?

/pout, sulk

Well, we'll just sit here in the dark, then. :B

But um, maybe? That's not a bad idea... though, considering that piece was set in 1997, I dunno how many of those places are still there a decade later. To Google!

Oh no! They heard about your shin-kicking plans and wanna beat you to it!

What's driving me nuts is that there's obviously something we've missed or we're overlooking...and that I can't find it no matter how many times I go back over all of the info we have.
