Real cards. There's a Kamahl in this story, and there's a Magic character with the same name. Just a little joke.

ive had an idea, what if these things arnt all at the same days/week, maby when those 2 went on the date, things got a bit "excited" and she ender up pregnant, she acted all wierd when the man mentiond parasites, so maby she was infected, 17 years later, there child (Jan) would then not be human because of the parasites affected the mothers DNA,so she would be inturnally different, like showing signs of resistance of pain, (jumping from the roof), and different signs on the lie detecter,(.wav=yes or no, ect) so they took her to a lab 2 b analized and she escaped(.wav= pillow, ect.)
And proof that shes special, .wav= law_abiding

Tuna is begining to go extinct, we fish too mcuh of it.

Off Topic: No it's not. Tuna is being farmed. Bluefin, Yellowfin etc (the rarest and bestest) are being farmed esp. in places like Australia and Japan. Australia exports tonnes of tuna to the world every year. I'm talking like BIG tuna. They are being bred too.

There are other species of tuna that are in plague proportions but just shit to eat. They are also a common sports fish.

Side note: Whales are going to go extinct because of the bloody Japanese hunting them for "research." Bloody bastards.

I think the whole tuna on the menu is a joke, but not a literal joke. Have a think about it, or maybe some of you are too young? Smile

Here's a [SPEC] thought.... perhaps with Jan (possibly with her unit even) they've been using nanomachines instead of the usual external mods like with the Spartans? If nanomachines were/are being used, it wouldn't be obvious like in the Spartan mods, but rather subtle as you wouldn't be able to see it, but they should have pretty much some of the same abilities (like a certain 17 year old we've just been introduced to), which would explain why she's been known as an above average athlete (I think was mentioned, sort of, in one of the sound files so far). Oh well, prolly just my mind trying to make the next (presumably) logical jump and hope for a tie into the plot...

ah well.....

My view on whqat happened is here....

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=62436#62436

To summarize :

What if Mel is a copy of Durga and the SPDR used Durga's previous data and processes to repair her? As someone stated, Mel says she hears voices, but never said they were hers... My theory is that Mel's trying to rbuild her databanks by conferring with her crew to find out what's important and what's residual data from the repair....

Nah doubt it, seems like everytime an AI "wakes up" after jumping into a new computer, it seems as though they have no memory of who they are until later, when their memory has been partially repaired (and by that process, secondary memory, such as custom interfaces such as personalization like nicknames and the like).
My theory (on how they enter each computer) is that all the AIs can only jump into or "possess" a system during a blackout or power surge, which activates all circuits simultaneously....

I'm posting this again since it feels like everyone's groping on what ghosting is.

SPEC: With regards to Ghosting, Jersey mentioned monitoring through the ChatterNet. It looks like every one has an implant of sorts for making calls. The MPs also use it to listen to what the soldier says to Jan when confronting her.

It's usually off when not in use, but apparently he can break into it and activate it and listen to the environment. He says date girl's has weak encryption, so it looks like the amount of encryption depends on how much the user wants to spend on it.

Sometimes the user's ChatterNet is off, so he has to use other sensors around the person, probably built into the building, to keep track of him.

What Ghosting is NOT: It isn't brainwaves, it isn't making a copy of a brain, it isn't an AI. It's simply a more advanced mobile phone.

I agree, i think its something simple, not all of this brain wave stuff. it just seems like it means he's able to track and then listen to and follow the people, like a ghost, even when their chatters are off if he can break through the encryption. it seems like normal public chatters arent encrypted much, but people who have classified knowledge, locations, or conversations (like admirals) have very high encryption. but, if he's able to hack in (assuming that means he's doing it with some sort of computer), he should also be able to record it, which is what we are seeing. and like somebody already brought up, ghosting in computer terms now-a-days means copying everything off of the hard drive so you can put it on something new, which if recording, is somewhat like this, only its not all of their "hard drive".

i think that now, it is a matter of waiting until all the axons go hot. there is nothing to figure out, we have the basic info, and there isnt anything we can do with any super in depth info... we dont have enough info for that stuff yet.

we'll have to see if any more phone calls are made. the 777 has always made me feel like we needed to do all 210 axons this time around, because it doesnt feel right for them to give us 2000 things to do, and whenever we get 777 of them, we're done. it seems like there will be exactly 777 and we need all of them. i guess we'll see if anymore phones ring or if any of ILB gets updated.

I was hoping maybe Dana's blog would get updated, but nothing yet.

the calls will start soon if they are coming. does anybody know if anyone is going to the first few to see if they ring? i was hoping that we might get all 7 on one of the groups to see if that changed anything, but yeah, does anybody know if there is anybody that will be at any of the first few to let us know if the phones are ringing again?

It has been documented that some of the locations do not have phones or the phones are out of order in some way. I don't think it is possible to get all 210 axons to go hot. I think Melissa was being safe with a better than two to one ratio of possibilities to needs.
