If so, then thank the Lord I'm a researcher. I'll get to watch the ensuing pandemonium (yay!). Razz

Ahhh, but if I get a hankering for brains, the researchers will be the first ones I go after! :p

And that's why I'll have a trusty shotgun at my side at all times.

One hint that the "research" is going south, and......BOOM! HEADSHOT! Razz

Sent away my application, awaiting reply...

Here's a short history of my medical background, it's nothing special, but I'm proud of my accomplishments so far.

I have an MB and have done 2 years residency at Sacred Heart Teaching Hospital under Dr John Dorian. After this, I opened up a small practice of my own, but due to lack of patients was unable to sustain it. Recently, I went back to university. I am currently studying a Doctorate of Chemical Biology, and am looking for any experience I can get in the field.
I'm a team player, hard working and driven when it comes to earning a paycheck.

I hope you will consider me for employment!

Kindest Regards,
Rick O'Shea.

Let's see if they're paying attention...

Mmm... brains... taste like chicken...
I don't think we'll end up green. Maybe an ashy grey or something along those lines. Smile

I knew there was a reason I wanted to be a test subject! Zombie Mandie! Y'all just let me loose if I turn colors and start craving brains. I have a list of people who could use a good scare!

@Breaker - LOL! I very nearly swallowed my gum when I saw where you spent your residency. I won't lie, though. Had I wanted to be a researcher, Princeton-Plainsboro would have been my hospital of choice. Laughing

New

Just got caught up reading, following Matthew and the such. Sent my resume since it was said they are going to accept until July 8th:

Quote:
I wanted to go ahead and send my resume with this second email. I noticed that you are no longer accepting emails after tomorrow (July Cool so I wanted to make sure I can get in. I feel I am truly qualified as I have been working on a few "Projects" recently that deal with pain and manipulation of emotions. I can get into more detail later if needed.

I have studied at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, but left early before graduation. I feel field research is more valuable.

Please accept this as my formal application.

If you have any more questions or comments, let me know.

Dr. Swift

Hopefully they'll add me. Game looks fun - good work all onthe clues.

Quick question: Did we ever find the password to the "Sound of Silence" page that Matthew tweeted?

http://ellwilldarr.wordpress.com/2007/05/17/the-sound-of-silence/

I'm trying to be a test subject, so Zombie Dean will be feeling no pain and coming for you. I thought it was interesting that they say on the webpage just to send an email with a certain subject line (no resume necessary), then they ask for a resume (at least they did with me).

They did the same with me. I sent off my "resume" yesterday to be a test subject and am waiting for an official yay or nay. I wouldn't mind being a zombie.

I don't think we've found that password yet. Judging by date order, The Sound of Silence is the last entry, which would make it Post #5, and we're playing the waiting game for the puzzle pieces to the password for Post #4 to make it to everyone before we can get to Post #5.

They asked me for my resume too. I just sent them my standard one with a few things edited out and I added my medical history as it pertained to the project. In this instance, it was pretty beneficial to my cause that I get migraines on a near-weekly basis.

Update

Hey, I'm just trying to get the stuff together for my own sanity, let me know if I'm right so far:

Emailers who've confirmed a mailing for puzzle 4:
Clue 1-
Clue 2- Deanodon
Clue 3- ancalime
Clue 4-
Clue 5-
Clue 6- catgirl789
Clue 7- courtknee

(let me know and I'll update if you've been confirmed for this mailing)
---------------------------------------

Puzzle Passwords (because we'll need them all for puzzle 5):
1- marquez
2- m12
3- haffkine
4- maughan (or was this just to get to four's emailing?)
5-

Edit: Just in case I sent an email for one of the seven clues and got this "canned" response:
Quote:
Thank you for your request.

All clues have already been requested; however, your friends shall be able to light the way.

Good idea Swift.

I 'think' the passwords to the first parts of each section were:

1. marquez (novel, cholera)
2. m12 (the picture of rocks)
3. 15557 (the chords)
4. -
5. -

4 will be our mailed clues, which we will need to combine and use the first 3 letters of to add to passwords 1, 2, and 3 to unlock 5.

How confusing.

As for the mailed clues, I re-read the thread and it looks like we don't have anyone with clue #1 yet (at least he/she hasn't said so)

1-
2- Deanodon
3- Ancalime
4- Spionchen
5- Galvanic
6- Catgirl
7- Courtknee

O.o looks like our clues were mailed today:

Your clue has been mailed.

When you receive it, please let me know. Thank you and good luck.

Haha, you aren't the only one. I thought I would go insane last night trying to figure everything out.

I'm going with the passwords that unlock the actual Dr. Darrell posts, so my answers are:

1. maugham
2. rats
3. tothee
4.
5.

And I'm in as a test subject and my clue has been mailed. I wonder who has #1?
