She's definitely never been to Rapture because her expedition was in the Himalayas, but somehow, when she was up there she found out about it. Maybe she found an outpost or something, I don't know, but she's never been to Rapture.

Maybe she's saying she went to the Himalayas to throw people off where Rapture really is... it's the opposite of being deep under the sea.

She knows where it is, she said as much in one of her letters but it was documented that she went to the Himalayas, and was the only survivor of the expedition. Unless she secretly boarded a plane to Rapture and another one back, I don't think she's been there.

Though maybe she might've stumbled upon a hidden bathysphere in a lake or river that somehow connected to the ocean...

I don't know there are too many possibilities. We can't be sure of anything without more information.

I got a package with the record too. Such a great end to a crappy week! *snoopy dances*

I'll open mine later and see if there's anything different or same in mine, and if I can finagle the use of a player from my mom I'll check the sound.

This makes me insanely happy. Very Happy

ETA-

My record numbers--

SIDE A- 11819-BS2-7 (A) R-21815 (squiggle I think is M)
SIDE B- 11819-BS2-7 (B) R-21816 (squiggle I think is M)

In case anyone's interested, here are the lyrics to the Rise Rapture Rise! song.

Quote:
Oh rise Rapture rise!
We turn our hopes up to the skies!

Oh rise Rapture rise!
Upon your wings our dreams will fly!

A city in the ocean's deep.
A promise that we'll always keep,
To boldly turn our eyes upon,
The prize!(?)
So Rise! Rise! Rise.

Oh rise Rapture rise!
We merrily sing this reprise!

Oh rise Rapture rise!
To help us crush Parasites despised!

A city on Poseidon's floor.
A set of ideals we adore.
A philosophy we all can emphasize!
So rise! Rise! Rise!

I don't know if it's been mentioned (I've been out of town), but there is a new message on the answering machine from Amanda's lawyer and a half-written letter in the typewriter addressed to her. I think Meltzer is about to go in search of Rapture.

It's so cool that you guys have gotten records! I've been meaning to send a letter for weeks. I'm going to finally do so today and hope I'm not way too late.

I feel ya, I meant to mail one off a few weeks ago but got busy with work and forgot. Kicking myself now, but c'est la vie. Going to send Meltzer a packet of info concerning another missing child with some goodies I've made myself just for fun. It will be cool if I get a response, but either way I'm sending it. If you guys are interested in seeing it let me know and I'll take a pic and post it. Figure it might get a rise out of the PM's to get some fan-created content that blurs the line a little bit more.

I've been watching this from the beginning though I haven't contributed much on the boards. Now that work has slowed down a little and I have a personal life again hopefully I can pitch in some.

The PM's have definitely done a great job on this one, reminds me a lot of Project Abraham...Good times.

The Records

Ah its good to come home from two weeks in the mountains and recieve a package like this. Yes I too got my record. Unfortunately I don't have a record player so if someone who does have one, if they could find a way to record it to the computer and post it up here that would be awesome. My record numbers are
Side A: 11819-B52-7(A) R-21815 and what looks like an upper case M but could just be a squiggle
Side B: 11819-B5(or S)2-7 (B) R-21816 and a squiggle that looks like a lower case a but hard to tell

I know this is sort of random, but I wonder who the real people in all the pictures are.

Assuming they are like mine, they are probably stock photos. Being they are images of children the PM's would definitely make sure they covered their butts legally.

If not stock then possibly hired models or something.

Update, there's a red book on top of the shortest book pile in Meltzer's room. It's called

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"The Frozen Triangle: The zone of the unknown where ships are lost... and never found!" By: Carleton Rede Best selling author of "Animal ESP"

and you can see the back of it if you click on it.

Fun Fact: Azgaurd = Asgaurd the home of the Viking gods, kind of a Viking heaven.

Isn't it possible the plane the back of the book is referring to could be the one Jack brought down?

That's what I was thinking!

Anyways, new note on Meltzer's desk from Lynch, with Meltzer's comments on it of course. He still won't believe in "Atlantis". He'll learn, eventually.

Does anyone know how to open the "lunchbox" on the right side of the room? It might have been in an earlier post of this topic but I can't find it...
