Hahaha...well, crap. I may have gotten in over my head with my made-up bio. I got this response back from my submission:

Quote:

Thanks for your work! What an interesting story you have, Phoebe! I'm sure several people around here would find the full story of your 'alien abduction experience' to be quite interesting... and I'm sure they would make it worth your while by elevating your status a little bit. I'm confident that many of us could learn a great deal about your interplanetary experiences!

*runs off to study up on firsthand accounts of alien abductions*

Hahaha! That is just hilarious! I'm glad I went with the pretty typical "Science Nerd" angle. I figure I won't get too much attention drawn to myself if I go commando.

Wait a minute... Confused

Bleh, I signed up as both a Researcher and a Test subject using two different e-mail accounts, but it means twice the work. Oh well, I hope I get to do different assignments and get different info that way... Wait, alien abductions? *Runs to read the bios*

LOL! Laughing That is pretty fantastic, ancalime. When you figure out what your "interplanetary experiences" are, you'll have to let us know.

I'd like to stay under the radar with my bio, but somehow I feel the need to try and top alien abductions. Smile Oh decisions...

Just sent mine in:

Quote:
Nicko Demeter was born in Milwaukee in a cold winter night. Rather gifted as a child, he was able to quickly pursue his research on genetically engineered leeches with the help of the US Dept. of Agriculture and some other private contributors. He was able to significantly improve the theory of reconstructive genetic code as embedded within another, already living, organization. After a brief visit to Bangalore World University, he went on a sabbatical and only emerged upon hearing about Project Dolor. Dr. Demeter is confident that he will contribute greatly to the team and is looking forward to the scientific advancements that will undoubtedly resultfrom his efforts.

Indeed! That is part of the joke! I looked it up the other day and found out that Polonicus is the Latin name for Poland, but when I came up with it, I was thinking of names that sounded plausible, but not likely to actually be a real name. I thought that it sounded vaguely like something Greek(Like Thesaloniki, I guess), so I decided to use it, and make it an inside joke to anyone who might be in the know as to it's actual meaning. I can't beat alien abductions! Shocked

I went the semi-realistic route with mine. Left out majority of my history - focused on my writing and my history of migraines. I just realised our dear Dr. Darrell and I have that in common.

New tweet from Matthew!

Quote:
so many new people at the Institute, how little do they know about its reality. They shall learn more shortly when more doors are unlocked.

OMG, it's moving forward!

And cool coincidence paperbound, let's cue the creepy twilight zone music.

Edit: Whoever Dan C. "of the Wolves" is made a biography that's at the same level as alien abduction.

ETA: New announcemant on the website http://instituteforfuturemedicine.net/careers/, nothing we didn't already know though.

Quote:
Thank you for your interest in working at the Institute! We do not have any positions open at this time.

However, Project Dolor is very labor-intensive and it is likely that a more positions will be available at a later time, so keep checking back!

What do you suppose "labor intensive" means?

Wasn't going to post this because it just seems like a standard "hey, we have this in common, so it's a personal matter for me too" kind of email, but something kinda caught my attention.

Dear Ms. Baker:

I found your biography deeply affecting. I too suffer from intense migraines quite frequently. They began in my teenage years but grew increasingly painful and numerous beginning two years ago. I've no idea why.

Thank you for your personal story. It is my hope as well that our new vaccine will prevent such terrible pains.

Sincerely,
Dr. William Darrell

Bolding isn't in the original email - that part just sticks out for me. Maybe I'm seeing connections where there really are none, but all of his entries on the wordpress blog are from May of 2007.

*wave*
Dan C with Wolves was supposed to have allusions to Dances with Wolves. Possibly should have referenced Kevin Costner in there somewhere.

Also, similar to ancalime's...

Your biography has been received and posted.

Thanks for your work! Several of our full-time team members are intrigued with your story. If you would tell us more about your experiences in Australia, I'm sure several employees would make it worth your while.

Technically yours,
Gabriel Lorenzen

EDIT: Also, think you might be right about significance, paperbound

Now I'm crazy anxious to read those last two entries. On the http://www.instituteforfuturemedicine.com/123346 page, he mentions the devastating blow to the Institute two years ago, "grave mistakes" that were made and something he had to do in the "chaos in 2007." According to the first three entries, they were working on a drug to cure aggression (the "chill pill"). Obviously it failed - maybe one of the test subjects went all Hulk-like? Either way, his own migraines began getting worse around that same time. OH! Maybe Dr. Darrell went all Hulk-like on them! Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde maybe?

I just want to know what he did...I wonder if our tweety friend knows.
