Slender Man

This is the only post I will make in regards to this subject. I know for a fact that Slender Hunter and Marble Hornets are in no way linked in their production. Don't let whoever this is deter you from enjoying them as I highly doubt he is involved with either.

Right lol

so the tags to those vids are a coincidence? Get real. Read between the lines. These videos are good, but based on what you saw, if you think this guy isn't pulling this from the Slender Man myth, you're blatantly ignoring the similarities. No Slender Man production was organized. It was a random spontaneous effort by a few unconnected people and it happened to work. This guy is no different, although his are much more well done.

Its not rocket science.

That appears to be a very bad attempt at what I have heard called a "troll". It's best to just ignore him/her/it. They feed on attention.

My friend has posted another message of gibberish. This one even more cryptic than the last, it looks to me like some kind of code only I can't seem to make any sense of it.

I think it's base64 too, but I have no idea what else has been done to it to make it different.

Hi all!

I've lurked for a good long while but I finally decided that it was time for an account so I can try my hand at an ARG! I'm not promising anything as I am still pretty new at this. So i'll probably hang around in the shadows for this one! Laughing

Welcome

I'm glad to see your interest in ARGs! And don't be afraid to contribute, we invite any speculations you may have!

But on another note, aren't there two codes similar if not identical to base64 that don't decode to anything sensible?

I don't know much about codes (I don't even know what base64 is!), but maybe it's some sort of encrypted message that we have to figure out how to decrypt.

I googled online encryption, but I don't really know which one to choose. He could have used any of them.

Well, there's that code that's in the source for websites that decrypts to a bunch of symbols and stuff.

And welcome UnderTheBridg3, I'll take a look through that list

Not yet

I think he could have used any of them, as long as whichever one he used produced a code that looked a lot like base64 (btw base64, I can't really explain it as I just know what it looks like, not what it actually is, so here's a link that should explain it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base64)

Well, I guess it's that first link in the google list UnderTheBridg3 posted, new tweet from kennethlove: infoencrypt.com

Me too, I guess we just need the right password.
