I got two emails earlier today, one from Richie and one from Tannhauser. At EYESPY's suggestion, I sent Richie a copy of the maze. He says he can't see any letters. So that was a fail.

The only message Tannhauser sent was:

Congrats, molnar.

regarding the other cipher. I assume molnar is right that the theurlismissing.tif should be used to find the right key to decode the HEX message. But which code/date to use?

Some other ideas/specs:
Seems like three codes have been already used (7/8 and 16 of June). This would fit the three fully crossed numbers 1,2,3 at the right bottom. No idea why there are three more numbers (4,5,6) are halfly crossed.

I assume the colored numbers in the dottheyknow.tif have some special meaning. The green 04 could mean 4th message, which would fit the speculation that 3 messages had been already decoded. So the red 06 08 might be the date/verse to use as a cipher, but I do not think so.

Unfortunately we do not know the date of the message.

One thing that I liked about the method is that our first encounter with it in an email from June 18 used Psalm 22:4-6, which matches the chart. Although later uses, such as Psalm 31:9, do not match the chart.

Nice, solve. I tried this psalm but always used Rot 13 like in the messages before.

An interesting coincidence (I guess):
the "sentzragwytiv sveq ziwxmqirxsvyq imyw" message (last tweed from RuAWerewolf) does not only lead to the latin phrase of 132-2 but also Rot-16 leads to "iudjphqwmojyl ilug pymncgyhnilog ycom" and I was looking for some message ending in "...hnilog.com" before I saw that latin phrase. Smile

Great solve Molnar, I forgot the keys were rot'd. I'm so glad you got that, cause I still can't get it to decode past the first sentence.

ETA* Another file was posted to the secure directory on NLI: gurljvyyxabj.tmp, Rot -13 decodes to "theywillknow" save as a .tif file.

I wonder what happened to the CD Richard's father was threatening to send to Rome.
