Welcome adamtash!

Hi adamtash, and welcome to the brood. You had a heavy workload reading all of those pages. I feel for you, really I do.

I found something interesting that may or may not be a coincidence for this twisty, turny path that is I'm Sorry: The "last" grand master of the Knights Templar was named Jacques de Molay. He was "roasted to death" in March of 1307. de Molay dies outside of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, on the Ile de la Cite'. He and other Templars were first arrested sometime after October 13, a Friday, which is when the Pope and Phillipe the Fair issued secret orders to round up the Templars.

Interestingly, I found this information in "Secrets of the Code" The Unauthorized guide to the Da Vinci Code, it's excerpted from "The Templar Revelation", by Lynn Pickett and someone else.

It occurs to me that if the Yuan thing is a key, it has to open something. What if Port needs to take that image to someone that acts as the Gatekeeper, to get his safe passage to The Brightman and then to the Oracle? My thoughts are that bars mentioned in The Novel might be a great idea, no matterif they still exist in RL or not. PM's can use creative license, after all.

Ah, yes, the Templars. It plays into the whole Masonic references quite well, which is probably the only constant in this game.

Also, IT'S ON:

(952): If you guys want to play it that way, sure. So what's the morning line?

(707): Since we are watching him at a Starbucks right now, we'll say 20 to 1.

(952): Fantastic. Put a Jackson down on the longshot for me and I'll see you guys later to collect...after I meet the writer in Portland next week. Ta!

(707): You got quite a pair for a girl! Red wants to know if you're taken.

Okay, addendum: constants being Masonic references and Starbucks. Ahahah.

I feel like I should've done this forever ago, but I'm throwing Bricker an email. Though if I have to write in Bricker!code for much longer, I'm gonna kick shins.

edit;; I am a terrible person

Look! I even found one for him: 866 999 6358. Red can thank me later when I come to pick up the meat.

And I would not recommend calling that number. Can you feel my frustration yet? :B

Man, I am glad I am not at work today, because I would not be able to keep a straight face through all this.
textland wrote:
(707): That was classic! You should have seen his face when he called. It's really too bad that you're on the wrong side of all of this.

(952): I dunno, you boys aren't exactly going a top-notch job at recruiting for the dark side, either. At least offer cookies before the death threats! I mean, sheesh, it's like taking the lady out for dinner and a date first: elementary, my dear boy. No wonder Red is still single!

(707): US on the dark side? Poor girl, you don't even really know who you're helping in all of this. Try a different perspective on for size.

(952): Only if you try on one that you're not being paid to wear.

(707): Touche. I'll do that one of these days.

Woo, Bricker's still alive, at least!
His reply (and mine) were sent in MAXA Crypt (thx Wulf, as this code makes me want to kick things slightly less :B).

Bricker wrote:
Your friend Wulf introduced me to this type of encryption and it's so much easier than the crap I was using. What's the problem? I got home and saw your e-mail and now you've got me concerned.

You got followers, man. Rather stupid ones, but also the sorts that make vague enough death threats for me to take seriously. Reason being: dunno if Val mentioned this, but there appears to be something waiting for you in Portland next week. Something important, something these guys don't want you to have. I think we'd both prefer it if you got there in one piece to receive it, y'know?

I don't know what else to say right now other than to be careful and watch your back. And that I wish I'd thought to contact you sooner.

So uh, if 'GGB' stands for 'Golden Gate Bridge', there's a whole lotta land to cover. Where exactly is he going, now?

North of the golden Gate Bridge

Portland is North of the Golden Gate Bridge, and so is the Brightman, since it is in in Bodega Bay, no?

It is an Amtrak train. It is, in fact, the exact same train that I am taking to Portland next week. Same dates, times, and all.

...

... so uh.

At least this text I got while at work today makes sense now:
Bernie's cell wrote:
Hey, look what else I found in a guy's pocket! All roads seem to lead to you!

Er, thanks Rage?

edit;; mails from Bricker, earlier this afternoon, before the picture Arlen posted.

I'm obviously not sure how this stuff works! Do you mean people are following me and intend to keep me from that ARGFest? Is it Ron? I haven't seen him since that day at the beach. Now you've got me paranoid! Thanks for the warning, though.

Feel free to trout me if I'm stating the obvious, but doesn't it looks like the PM is keeping the ARGfest-O-Con (or at least Portland) IG?

Hrm - now I'm wondering if I should've gone the extra step, and met Bricker in Cali like he'd originally asked/suggested when he and I first started talking about ARGfest.

He asked if I was going to meet him in Santa Rosa, or Portland. At the time, it seemed like a strange question.

Kinda what I'm expecting, honestly. Which will maybe make for a very, very maddening weekend.

Also, because my paranoia bulb has been flashing oh so brightly since yesterday, I decided to check all the bases:
tweets wrote:
clas1ca: How are you holding up, man?

klokworkalex: OK. With a mall and movie theater in walking distance I've kept myself occupied. We're kind of on hold until after your meeting, right?

clas1ca: Only kind of. Plenty of weird freakin' shit has still been happening on my end, though I ought to be used to this by now, honestly.
And... I dunno. Rage was apparently in your area yesterday. That's reason enough for paranoia/double-checking that you're still okay, right?

klokworkalex: As weird as getting a flyer slid under your hotel door with Donnie Darko stuff all over it with "play it...or it plays you" highlighted?

clas1ca: That's uh, quite normal for me, actually. I'm guessing it looks kinda like this, right? http://bit.ly/gaiM2

... so, huh. Is Rage recruiting again or something?

edit;;

So I do, and there's email from Port:

Probably shouldn't use this e-mail account, but I thought you'd find this interesting. Notice the description of the guy who got away.

Hi there people.

Yes, somehow I'm still lurking along.
Actually I'm 2,5 weeks on holiday now, in Vietnam.
But apparently they got internet here too, and apparently I get bored every once in a while.

So I'm just saying hello.
And asking you guys (mostly Classical and Wulf I guess, I don't know who else is going?) to keep all of us informed of the coming spectactular events at ARGFest!
Edit: You know what this ARG is lacking IMHO? Video's! So who's bringing a video camera? Laughing I'd love to see some live-action chair throwing!

I guess there's no more research to be done in Vietnam right? Wink I'd might be able to pick up a deaddrop or something, dating from the time that the darkside conducted the experiments that created our villian (The One, right?) You never know how elaborate our PM is in backing up his story Wink .

Hahah, fancy that! As far as Nam and the One goes, I think we're waiting until we get our mits on whatever it is that Bricker has waiting for him at ARGFest.

Also, I don't have a video recorder! But I was thinking of bringing an audio recorder that I do have, more or less because I'm sure I will ask milions of questions and then totally forget them later if I don't.

/packing, omg
