Uhm, apologies in advance for this lengthy introduction post...

I was catching up in the background. After the repetitive hex-to-rot and King ciphers, this has become quite interesting. You have to keep track of what has been done.

On two techniques you were wondering about:
1. hidden stuff in PDFs
You can highlight the entire text and copy it over in the text editor of your choice.
2. type/form hidden in blog comment
That was tricky, but not as unfair as only being hidden in the source. If you hover over the words in the comment, they underline. Just in case you missed that. Smile

Regarding latest file:
Do you think that Tannhäuser was involved in the harddisk failure?

And some thoughts:

Why are three dates circled on the first sheet? And three numbers only half-crossed? That might be connected in that T has picked the next three psalms to use, but didn't distrubute the other half of the XOR, yet. Hence only half a cross?
Anyway, now that the sheet has been discovered by NLI, seems unlikely that T will use it again. But maybe there are still three codes out there.

Just a funny coincidence that the backwards acronym for Incident Last Night spells NLI.

There was probably no IG reason for using x-rot in some places and 13-rot in others. At least on the Trash files there is no reason to use 13 to keep it more simple, as certainly was the case with other encoding. But maybe that's because two different people are encoding? Recently, T alludes that he is one of a group that is unknown. Is he a werewolf, too? Or something else? The reason why there are werewolves? Or perhaps that wasn't T but Pers talking?

As for why werewolves exist, I'm pretty sure the original Lupine Institute is to blame. T might have been one of them. He revealed their background early on. Possibly they used lycanthropy on themselves.

Did we use the NLI login, yet? Or is this just the underlying framework for the Morgan Trash files?

Are Pers and P.Goddard the same person? I think so. Did somebody contact Goddard?

And, of course, what is in Rome? Or is Rome a person?

Heya, Brax, and welcome to RUaWW where I'm doing the lil happy dance you have delurked at last.

And, indeed thanks, the words "form" and "type" do underline in green yet not in IE and only in Firefox which just became my standard browser for this ARG. Wink That said, AUZ's tip on highlighting hidden PDF info seems equally kewl and a tad easier.

The employee login @newlupineinstitute.org which gives the same prompt as the Parent Directory in the "Trash" have not yet been accessed but that's why you're here of course. OUR outside expert if NLI is allowed one for the new cipher. Laughing

Hm, you think the catholic church is protecting werewolves?

Two more files are up on Trash:
- gehgu => truth (13)
- yvrf => lies (13)

Looks like Ms. Diamond decoded the messages in "truth" by using the other two circled psalms on "theurlismissing". I only transcribed the first line of the second message and that matches with the official decode. But you would think they must be different or else why does T label them as the "truth"?

As for new information:

The exchange seems to confirm what the message decoded by us hinted at. That Richie's dad wasn't killed by NLI, but by "the other group".

For some reason Morgan sat on those results for the entire weekend before he forwarded them to Kramer. Wouldn't that be urgent, no matter what's the status on the body?
He is aware of the mole inside NLI.

First harddisk failure, now trouble in the lab with T's DNA?
Also, Percy = Pers? Has Richie been taken, since Kramer talks about bringing him in?

Richie's dad is in conflict with someone and has a contact. One of them is most likely T, who is the other one? Pers?

As for contacting Pers, does he know that we are receiving these leaks from T?

PS: Wonder if I should attach the files as a service or save uF some bandwidth? Trash directory should be in everyone's faves by now. Smile

There are differences, and they are interesting

Truth 1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
That bastard Morgan's involved? Someone seNt a scanned e-mail to my son. How long have they beeN watching him? If you can't Do anything, why are you there? Can you call them off, Lor? Or do I have to?

Truth 2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm donE waiting for you. If thIs exposes your people it's your fault. I'm meeting with Brother Thomas tonight. These CDs aren't the only copy. I have others hidden.

I would have to assume that the mole inside NLI is Lori. That would make sense given the 6/18 email.

I'm trying to decide if the strange capitalizations are important, or are mistakes (mine or the coders). For the cases where I've gone back and looked, I have the letters CENNDEI.

Where do you get the CE from? Did you go over it all, again?
Only checked the first E in the second message and that one should be 'e' if you have a capital 'D' from the psalm. But capitals can't be the only reason for what is "wrong" with the first message as the corresponding psalm contains only two capitals, like the second.

Code specialist Lori being the mole does make a lot of sense. Laughing

Even if she isn't T (in which case, they are having 24-like proportions of moleship), revealing these messages to us would make no sense if T had Richie's dad killed. Although, if you twist it around, could just want us to trust them...probably not that complicated. Razz

I guess Enaxor is right about the Vatican. Smile

Yeah, there is probably an error in my decipher script where I'm losing capitalization when shifting. I'll have to look into that. Embarassed

HEX to Ascii to ROT13
you will find his peers where you found the psalms neohowl

The Psalms were in the "gurheyvfzvffvat.tmp" (theurlismissing.gzc) file yet maybe s/he means the Trash files although there's no new file there. Had asked awhile ago where we could find Richie's peers.

Neohowl and his peers

Doubled for new info which am just now wading through. Think I found Richie's "peers" here:

You beat me to that, amandel. Laughing

Were we supposed to find this? Confused
I was thinking that perhaps we were supposed to talk to Pers some more.
I automatically thought "peers" was a clue for Pers.

By the way, PERS is an acronym that is related to Geauga County. Probably the name was picked to make the blog harder to google?
Edit: "geauga teutonicrichard" finds this instantly, though.

Coffee Morning Y'all. On first appraisal of the NEOhowl blog my ladybug instincts are warning we shouldn't comment on it.....

or NEO (GeekWolfGrrl) will move it elsewhere. Always happy to abide by a consensus vote though.

@Brax: can't imagine why it shouldn't have been found now. Answers lots of questions.

I guess Abraxas asks himself if we should have found this blog much earlier without this new big hint Wink

They want to meet in NCR. Where is this?

Yes, sir, you are correct. Smile

Quote:

list of trails in Cleveland Metroparks
nice map of NCR
Squire's Castle Funny, they have a Trail Head, there. That was nonsense...
the Shelterhouse on SCR, where they last met

Funny, I was just yesterday reading about how the Perplex City Cube was found, which means I am looking at Reservation maps for two consecutive days, now...

Not sure about posting on the blog. On the one hand, Richie trusts you. On the other hand, if he hasn't told them about you yet, maybe it is better to keep watching them from a distance.

Done a quick map of the key locations so far. The two park locations and the NLI HQ form a pretty nice triangle, not that it means anything...

Romulus is female and the only member of Neohowl who killed someone. Considering the name, she might have killed her brother...
MoonShadow is the paranoid one. Shaggy strikes me as laid back. Shaggy and Romulus are probably both west-siders, due to Shaggy's comment about giving Romulus a ride. I guess the rest of them are east-siders. We know that Pers lives very close to Richie in Geauga County.
