Wind Lane, I completely agree in what you write but I do not think it is necessary to stoop to their level. If they want to act like this let them. I think we should all just stop bothering with them and just ignore there posts so we can go back to being clue finders.

I do agree that we need to get back to the matter of clue solving, but this thread in particular offers a good opportunity for me to talk to these two.

It may be that neither has been taught to act better than they do. Might as well put forth the effort and see whether or not they let the message sink in.

I am sure you have the rest of the forum behind you in your quest to teach manners to the ruffians. Wink

Now, now...they're not ruffians - they haven't threatened anyone. They're just making one of the most insufferable of mistakes of youth: not realizing that everything done or said affects others and those other people should be considered.

It's one of the hardest lessons in life to learn and it's even harder to implement into everything you say or do. And what makes it so hard is that we have a natural desire to put ourselves ahead of everyone else.

Edited to increase clarity and decrease juvenility.

Maybe the reason you don't like me (nice way of saying that - nice and indirect) is because I'm not being mean, I'm being blunt. You don't sound stupid, why write like you are?

And, congratulations on being an admin on a forum of three people. I won't be joining you.

p.s. i wouldn't if I were you but it is interesting seeing cahill try to put together a site to rival this one

I know that you're only a kid. I think you misunderstand what that means though. Being a kid doesn't mean you get a pass when you make poor use of the English language, it means that you get forgiven for making honest mistakes more easily than those of us who are older. But the requirement for that is to be trying to grow up and speak like the adult you're going to become. You can't halt your body from aging, why would anyone forgive you for not trying to have your mind keep up?

And as to the new site, good for cahill. If he's successful he'll have learned how hard it can be to get one of these forums going and staying strong. If he's unsuccessful he'll have the chance to learn some respect for people who are successful at keeping this place running smoothly.
