Solution, buy a blue! you wont be disapointed.

Either way it's all fairly expensive. Yes- the ISIS is more expensive per puzzle, but there's already 3 Revo's out and the others are soon to follow.
The price: well see now the issue here is that these are high quality puzzles. look at the Sacred Myths and Legends thread. there are all kinds of quality issues. same with the Isis thread, and evenn the isis home forum. what you dont see is issues with the Revomaze. and look, its cheaper. what i paid for my entire set, i paid less for that set than i did for my Isis & Ramisis combined. and actually there are 4 Revo's out. worth every dime i tell you. now i did buy my whole set as a pre-order at a great price, but one does not need all 5 puzzles unless they are going for a collection or if they are in it to win the series code. get a blue, see how you like it. when you fall in love, then look to see how your pocket book feels about getting a second puzzle.

where do you live. i warn you, everyone who has touched my revomaze has fallen in love with it. one guy gave up smoking so he could afford a set. to help fight cravings he just plays with the puzzles. so we now know revomazes are effective at helping one quite smoking. also, if you test it out, theres no way you'll open it that day, so in order to get it open, you'll have to buy your own. and i tell you, getting the thing open is a large portion of the satisfaction.

Hmmm....3000 miles from me. how about this, come on over to the REVOMAZE FORUM, and chat it up with the group of us, give it a week and see how you feel. i always believe anything worth buying will still be worth buying in the morning as long as you are properly informed. So i encourage you and all others to come on over to the forum and get informed, asked questions and see the world or amazement surrounding these little beauties.

Personally I would say get the Green instead of the Blue. The reason is although the Blue is difficult, once you open it, it's pretty easy to do again and again. Green is harder but not like the Bronze and doing it a second time is still pretty tough even when you know what to do. Blue is a fun introduction puzzle and is great to let people play with to get a feel for what it's all about, but if you are buying for the first time and money is a factor I think Green gives more bang for the buck.

good point walther. the green does snag more interest from the get go. has anyone opened the green and not the blue yet?

I have to admit steve I was very intrigued when you said it did not involve a ball bearing on the inside. I feel myself close to being convinced to buy one.

Like if someone was standing behind me chanting "Do it! Do it!" Id buy it.

I think the main thing is that im actually fairly new to the whole puzzle thing, and I do have money, but it still seems like a lot to spend on a puzzle. I bought the Myth and Legend series and found it not to be a challenge at all really, so I'm looking for something harder and with more quality. I just wasn't expecting the price jump to be so high.

then listen to walther, buy the green. hell if you really think you are a bitchin puzzler, even go for the bronze. but i warn you if you chose that path, others that have opened the blue, the green, and the black, have spent over 10 hourse on the Bronze even with all of that back ground knowledge. you cannot fathom the construction of the bronze, and a puzzle you can not see in your mind, is a puzzle you cannot solve.

Also, if you buy one, and later you decide you need the whole set, i think chris will offset the price so that the total puzzle set comes out the same as if you buy the whole set right now.

Well Steve, you salty dog... I just ordered a ReVoMaze.

I went with the Blue, even if it is easy I consider myself a collector of things, and if I enjoy the ReVoMaze I'd want to have all of them, so may as well start with the Blue regardless. I'm excited to give it a try

How long does it take to receive them over here in the states? I am on the East Coast though, so I'm about as close as you'll get to EU.

I think they must come in through Miami or something because I always seems to get mine in the first batch that reach the US. Given customs and all that crap, not to mention what shipping you requested I would expect a week to 10 days for it to hit your door. Though mine seems to hit pretty close to the week.
I really don't think you'll be disappointed in taking a shot, these really are well made and challenging!

I've been looking for something else to keep my attention, and I'm thinking that I might have just found it. Now if only I had the money to drop on this...

Myelin, when you get yours, would you let me know how you like it? I've seen nothing but good things about the ReVoMaze on this thread, and I'm forced to wonder if some of the other posters are a bit biased, haha. Razz

well i figure by next friday Myelin should be able to give a good review of the puzzle. depending on the amount of time available, we might even here back that the Blue is open!

OH BTW, we are bias. Nikki, try one of these and tell me your not! LRazzL! Honestly, the only down side to buying a REVOMAZE is that they are addicting!

I talked to Chris a little bit and he said that my blue should be here either Monday or Tuesday. Speaking of which, I was surprised how fast he responded to all my emails, regardless of the puzzle, customer service seems great.

I should have a good amount of time to devote to it when it arrives so I'll post a little blurb for my thoughts on the puzzle if you want. Like I said, and told Chris, if I enjoy it I certainly plan on buying the whole set so I'm excited and hopeful to give it a try.

I'm excited to have you as part of the revomaze family, Myelin! Chris is AMAZING when it comes to costomer service. for as much time as he devouts to the forum, creating new puzzles, working with the engineers and machining companies, the lawyers, the wife and kids, its truely amazing how much he puts into everything. one cant put a price tag on great customer service, but as a one man team, he amazes me!
