ChildrenOfZ @Lucavex I am safe...but finding it hard to stay in touch...must stay out of the main areas. The group are here...

Not sure what he means by the group, am pressing for more information.

Yay all on the cypher solve.

Lucavex: "The group" probably means the KRF Group, since CofZ isn't too happy with them.

Good work on the cipher -- especially well done Lucavex! Sad I missed it all while moving house today.

Has anyone telephoned the cipher to Houston command? Great opportunity to speak to them!

Anyone want to update the workspace with the latest stuff?

I'm not sure, since Sotpyrk has implied he has access to KRF group members, that would suggest he's in Houston too. Perhaps he's referring to T.C. and Sotpyrk? Maybe there are more players in that collective.

He could very well be referring to KRF, though. It seems more likely, at least!

Just got off the phone with John Davis to discuss the import of the cracked cipher, but was a bit hampered by my weak Skype connection. Still fun thouh; I love the roleplay. Anyway, he knows it's been cracked (credited Lucavex); sounded like he was busy in meetings with Houston authorities. Hopefully making survival plans.

That would be why I got his voicemail! XD

I love the roleplay too, it's fantastic. I left him a message telling him it's been cracked, and told him to keep an eye out, as Sotpyrk might be among his team.

I think I might put together a snarky message for Sotpyrk (enciphered, of course) tonight. Anyone got anything particular to say? I think I might just return some of his general mocking. Although I won't say anything about puzzles being "too easy" Smile Don't want him to up his game TOO much... Wink

missing something?

On the comment that we might be missing something... did anyone ever think of anything with the "DIVI" on ChildrenofZ's background image on twitter? I was playing catch up and also walking my boyfriend through what has happened so far, and he suggested it might be two numbers - 51 and 6, in roman numerals. Thoughts? Possible future cipher key?

You know, that's totally possible. I'll keep that in mind when/if we start receiving ciphered messages from ChildrenofZ.

May even try that on new ciphers from T.C. and Soptyrk.

On a side note, has anyone noticed Soptyrk stop following you? I think I may have been blocked by him on twitter or something.

Just to clarify that, DIVI in roman numerals would be 501 and 6, not 51 and 6. I had thought of DIVI being roman numerals a bunch of pages back, but couldn't figure out what to do with them.

Could be 500 1 6 or 500 1 5 1 or 500 4 1, but otherwise the numbers do not make sense in that order. The old Roman Emperors that were worshipped were called the Divi. Divi in Italian is the plural of Divo meaning star or god. With the religious rhetoric that TC and sotpyrk have tossed out that might be a connection there.

Twitter was funky yesterday and at one point Soptyrk had 0 following. Seems OK now though.

If there is, in fact, a link with the "DIVI" find and the roman numeral theory one might note that "DI" is not made apparent fully until manipulated leaving "VI" obvious first. This -could- elude to the order in which the numbers should be presented. At this point obviously there isnt a very high likelihood of this but still, throwing the idea out so someone might bounce the right one off of it.

Also, as previously stated with the Kryptos find there are obvious connotations to ciphers on the sculpture in real life..three of which have been mostly solved with the fourth left unsolved. Claiming to know little of ciphers myself, perhaps this clue was to give insight to which cipher might be used when the opportunity to decode is given. The first two were of "polyalphabetic substitution" origins, while the last was known as a "transposition cipher". I'm sure by now many of you know this and have probably used said techniques but I figured I would throw this out, anyway.

Kefrus.
