Hey first time posting here but have been following for a while but did anyone notice the Mark has drawn land on the map and written a day ahead this is first under 1?
I think mark plans to visit the places too maybe they hired an actor to play him and someone will meet him.

Hmmm, I guess it could be, but the coordinates given place it about a mile and a half south of the pier...maybe it will start at the coords and end at the pier? Now I'm curious....

...and also frustrated, since I'll more than likely have to work that Saturday, but hopefully it won't take THAT long since the time is 6:11 am and work wouldn't start till 9... Dunno

I doubt Mark will be there but that would be cool. I think it was just to make sure people in Australia knew their event would be a day earlier so they wouldn't miss it. The addition of the continents is a nice touch, makes it easier to visualize.

Grab extras if there is any swag. I would be willing to part with a Rapture record depending on what it is... Shocked

Ditto on the first, and maybe to the second. But please, someone bring a video camera.

P.S. Anyone live in Australia or Europe?

2 Things

Now as for the 08/08 things, living in Colorado i don't think will get me to the coast, and as for these theory's could any of the notes or locations have any relation to the novels by Lewis Carol? And on a side note the radio/recording that plays on the site seems to have gotten clearer (already mentioned) an if i'm correct you can now here the voice of a child saying "Daddy" nearer towards the end of the recording, before the underwater echos that sound like singing.

Just ideas and thoughts, there's my 2 cents for the day. Smile

Also, as to the person who found the OOL meaning related to WWII, that could have relevance after looking at the book on the desk, about incidents during WWII

here is the enhanced audio of the scanner as it stands now, tried to clean it up as best i can, the loud spots are where i turned the audio up (duh) so i could make out what was being said. on top of that, i found some good clear words, and some not so clear, so i leave it to you good people to interpret to your best.

P.S. you may want to switch off the bass on your speakers as this stuff got bassier even after reducing the noise and eq'ing away most of the bass.

Yeah, it's the audio from the Rapture Record Mark (and some of us) received. Its about 30 pages back on this thread but I think there's a detailed transcription (including the "Daddy" message) and pics of the record if you guys haven't seen it already...

your welcome, thats much like what i heard, plus i heard what sounded like a man saying help once around the 13:29 mark and again about 15 seconds later, but it might be something else. also sorry if the quality wasn't up to par, i had to drop it from a 192 mp3 to a 128 mp3 to be able to get whole recording up cause, by the looks of it, the entire thing was filled with interesting audio. it really helps when you can view the waveform of the audio and not look at a time bar.

Meltzer's daughter

I've been pretty bored all day and just looking through Bioshock 2 articles and whatnot and I think that Mark's Daughter is a little sister already.
My evidence is as follows:
The lunchbox puzzle: The outside decoded becomes the phrase: I CANT REMEMBER MY BIRTHDAY DO YOU REMEMBER MY BIRTHDAY I HAVE A NEW BIRTHDAY

Also the text inside which says: ITS COLD DOWN HERE COME FIND ME

Then today as I looked through articles I say this picture:

"WE WILL BE REBORN IN THE COLD WOMB OF THE OCEAN"

This picture leads me to believe that Big Sister has mentally conditioned the new little sisters to believe they have been reborn under the ocean, hence new birthday etc.

I believe at some point Meltzer is going to be one of the characters on Our radio as we play, and the outcome of his predicament is going to be up to the player.
So Mark's daughter is probably going to be in the game as well, as a little sister. It might even be a side quest to help him find her.

The interviews I read all suggested at human contact more than just the silhouettes and corpses we dealt with in bs1, as well as freedom to shape the story by our interactions with them.

What better way to sell the game than to create a cliffhanger by somethingunderthesea.com with Meltzer leaving for rapture and the player deciding his fate?
