I got one of those "It is time" emails. I tried the site, and There doesn't seem to be a way to enter the text. Sure you can type, but there doesn't appear to be any sort of submit feature.

Interesting, trying any number from one to thirteen in the url just results in the "one" page.

That's a little odd.

I must be slow, because I still can't find it. Any help?

Click the space between the 2 symbols that look like 3 crescent moons.

natas, if you call the top center point number one and number the rest clockwise, it's about 1/2" directly above the fifteenth point on a vertical line. You might have to click a few times to find it.

ETA: Thought it would be easier to see with a screencap of it with numbers filled in. Smile

I'm a little rusty on javascript....

Code:
<script>
   function check(password) {
      password = "./one_"+escape(password)+".js";
          var html_doc = document.getElementsByTagName('head').item(0);
          var js = document.createElement('script');
          js.setAttribute('language', 'javascript');
          js.setAttribute('type', 'text/javascript');
          js.setAttribute('src', password);
         html_doc.appendChild(js);
          return false;
   }
</script>

Code:
password = "./one_"+escape(password)+".js";

Does this mean that the next page will be:
http://findthedoor.ueuo.com/one_"whateverthepasswordis".js

perhaps this is the format for checking the password, 'cause at the moment I can't find a way to submit the form...
(I mean there aren't any buttons and enter does not work)

@ Natas, you can also use the TAB key to find it

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the brightest bulb, so, lacking any obvious to 'turn the lock,' I asked for help from Aurora. We'll see what she says.

I'm guessing that, once we have the right password, the door will unlock.

To "submit" the password, you click on the 16 pointed star. I haven't found the correct password though.

Also, there's an image in the source code that's supposed to be the background to a <div> labeled "lock", but it's not showing up on the page for me. The image is named "key" so I assume it has something to do with the password?

Actually it is set to add a javascript reference to that file to the head of the document. Click the button right now and it adds a reference to whatever one_"whatever".js regardless of whether the file actually exists or not, and does so as many times as you click the button.

Thanks

The pic is now visible btw

Strike that! The pic is visible with internet explorer Exclamation
It shames me to say that I was using windows at the time I wrote the above Embarassed
Now I'm back on my Mac Wink and I still can't see it. Its interesting because Safari 4 does the Acid Test with no problems. Ok, so the rest of you must be using Firefox, because this does not see it either.

The pic goes around the textbox so that you can identify where it is

ETA:
So, it is irritating that the submit button is javascript. (I prefer server-side scripting for passwords because they give me feed-back! Locky! )

Yes, you are correct. And in so doing it means that it's probably more than just a simple redirect; the page may not reload, but something will happen once you get it right.

That's a pretty unique way of doing that, I gotta admit. Of course, entering the wrong password leads to a potential Javascript error and possible memory leak, but still. Razz

What have people tried so far?

I've tried the text from the original key email and the name of a 32 sided polygon (Icosidodecagon)
