[SPEC] Location of Base Just a thought on where the base might be. The nearest base to the Paris Avenue Police Station in Bergen County is actually in NY (They're both close to the border). It's Fort Hamilton. Here's a link to the directions between the two: http://tinyurl.com/49tyd . My thought is that they would want to transport Jan as short a distance as possible, and this is as short a distance as I could find. This is, of course, assuming that Fort Hamilton still exists and that there isn't a new base built that's closer to the Police Station.

I don't think this is a base in terms of how we'd think of one today. What kind of a military base would need a civilian lab for "routine" tests?

H'm. Interesting speculation you've got there, jegger. Might be worth investigating.

Looking for a Navy Base Hhhmm.. Fort Hamilton is US Army.
From the fact that jersey was expecting Navy Sentinels in his computer, located in his room, located at the base, I would guess that this is not the one.

No reason to assume that the Army, Navy and Air Force stay separate in the future - hell, even the Earth Nations are all joined together under hte UN flag.
After all, the ships mentioned have the prefix UNSC - which stands for United Nations Space Corps (or Space Craft, if you prefer). Examples:
UNSC Iroquois
UNSC Pillar of Autumn
UNSC Clarkestown

This is my first post ever on these boards, so go ahead and get yer fish-in-the-face ready -- but, a search for "parrish" returned nothing, so I think I'm okay.
The cop in emergency.wav is not saying "Paris 23 police station."
He's saying "Parrish 23 police station." I mean, that's how it sounds to me. But it does seem pretty distinct, too, and I have no doubt that's what he's saying.

I disagree. After listening to it enough, it deffenitally sounds like "parris" to me.

Not if the station was named for an officer whose last name was either Parris or Parrish.

Well...
Erm...
What about...

Okay, maybe. But what if it refers to Paris road, or a city called Paris? They're likely to be named after the captial city of France, arn't they?

Yes, and that is also a distinct possibility. As a matter of fact, the evidence points to that possibility right now. I merely brought up the "Officer Parris/Parrish" as anothe rpossibility that could be investigated.

ARG hhh!
This is an ALTERNATE reality game, if one at all.
So you've found some military base that you think might be connected to the plot. Even if the plot takes place in year, what, 2500-something, and we're about five centuries earlier. What are you going to do about it? Do you suppose the game designers expect players to go there? Or stick a big red pin into their maps at that location?
Well, maybe if we were at another coordinates stage, with many more encrypted-or-hinted-at locations, which interconnected would point to a single important location in the US, then it might have more sense.
Right now, however, I'm sorry, but I believe you're just shooting in the dark, with a bent gun and using blank ammo.
Sorry for the discouraging $.02
