Might want to point out that the video is kinda NSFW... depending on where you work, that is.

Sorry for the double post, but this should be separate.

Japan New Site: http://shineisei.jp/
Seems to be a genetic modification / designer babies site.
The bottom part says (via Google translate)
Quote:
If you live in Matsuyama area if you come, "Contact" page, please reserve a genetic analysis. Or E-mail, please order a test kit that can be used conveniently at home. In doing so, please note that you should always sample both parents. Currently, we only treat the sample had been sent in pairs.

But the contact button doesn't work, and I don't see an email address in the code.

Whois info address might be real. There really is a Omachi Mure-Cho in Takamatsu.

Alpha-Tsentr: http://www.alfa-tsentr.ru/
I think this might be IG because I don't see any Russian-language news involving a PMC called Альфа-Центр in the news (there's a health center called Альфа-Центр, thought). But then again, a Russian PMC might not make the news on purpose.

There is an email address for job opportunities, but seeing as they might be a real Russian PMC. Well. I'm not emailing them.

Wikipedia article about them might be planted: all the edits are in May 2009, all the edits by 2 users.

Their address, however, might be a clue that they aren't real: Are streets still called Lenin street in post-Soviet Russia? Beloretsk is a real city near Kazakhstan.

Edit: I guess the gist of this is, the Russian site scares me immensely.

I consider it highly unlikely since the URL is on the Alfa-Tsentr page on Wikipedia, along with several cited references as to its existence. But, FWIW, the page has only existed on Wikipedia since 5/19/09.

ETA:

Updates to that website only go back to 5/31... And the login page is, once again, a full-sized Flash asset.

Can someone be pulling a fast one on Wikipedia here? I mean, this seems like a very professional production (the quality of the Flash sequences is way above par), so this doesn't look like some fly-by-night indie gamer anymore.

Thanks for the translation. It seems that alpha-center makes some temperature tests with her. I just want to point out that the temperatures are negative:
72 hours at 8° (Fahrenheit or Celsius?)
72 hours at -7°
72 hours at -18°
72 hours at -72°

Seems like JJ could stand much more than normal people.

ETA: Somehow I have the feeling that the alpha-center homepage is ingame. This game really tries to be highly immersive, making it hard to distinguish between real reality and alternate realtity. This might be the main reason why this board was not "liked" by the PMs.

ETA2: I am confused. The captured girl in the last vimeo video does not look like Junko. So who is she. Seems I missed several things on the backstory.

I do think the wiki article is fake. The first reference doesn't exist, and the second doesn't mention any particular PMCs, let alone alfa-tsentr.

the dates are in 2001, so i think this is the video that was stolen? can someone summarize the story so far? possibly including the story in the other board, since i have no idea where this other board is, or how to get to it.

I'm pretty sure that the Alfa-Tsentr page in IG. If you click on pretty much any link on the page (save for the translation one), it takes you to a login screen. Since there is no way to obtain more info about this company through their website without logging in, anybody who might have been interested in learning more about them will be rather out of luck. Seems like a bad public relations stance to me.

And, as Nighthawk stated, the flash that we've seen so far has been pretty high quality. It doesn't surprise me that this page looks quite real; in fact, it kind of confirms my suspicions.

Haven't been able to watch the vimeo video, but I will when I get home tonight.

I also found a business inquiry on that site to businessSPLATalfa-tsentr.ru. Anyone want to make up some company info, seeing as #5 might be what we need to find Junko?

Quote:
Please provide the following basic information:

1. COMPANY NAME
2. COMPANY CONTACT?S NAME
3. COMPANY CONTACT?S TITLE
4. CONTACT INFORMATION
5. BASIC DESCRIPTION OF MISSION AND/OR NEEDS

@disza I'll pm you the link to the "other" forum. There's not much there that isn't here, except an important lesson taught to the PM about how not to mess with certain uFer's... Twisted Evil

... The Junsui FB fan page, after clicking on The Enemy in the Error message at http://junsui.shineisei.jp/. There was a link to the video.

... now longer has a link. was that a mispost? other people saw that right?
