Thanks for the update Robbie! It's too bad that 2k won't let you make repro posters and such -- I would have wanted some for my dorm room at UT!
BUT I don't want 2k to sue the pants off you.

ANYWAY thanks for the insider "non"info Robbie Very Happy It seems you're the person in the know... or at least the person who knows how to phrase a question to 2k Very Happy

Ha, thanks. As far as the questions I didn't really do anything, just asked if the person I was talking to could answer a couple of questions on how they designed a few things. I'm a Flash developer and was curious how they built some of the puzzles. I was told to ask again later and they could talk to me then.

Wish I had done something cool, but I appreciate the kind words...

Anyone notice the new update where Mark has put together that Rapture is where he is going to find Cindy? Got to love the picture from the Jonas Beach event on 08/08... Cool

EDIT: Oops, someone DID notice:

sorry if this is a double post i already asked this but i cannot find where it went, perhaps i canceled instead of submitted anyways.
i know this will sound very stupid but im getting confused with everybodies posistion. obviously 2K left the bottles for us. but wholeft it for Meltzer, who is leading him on?

From the way it has all played out no one in particular left it for Mark to find, the bottles were just "flotsam and jetsam" that washed ashore from Rapture. Like when a ship sinks and stuff washes ashore, that type of thing. As to how they got out of Rapture to get carried out to sea, I have no idea... Shocked
Well from pictures i've seen there are parts of rapture that have been destroyed including the area you started from in the first game so parts of arcadia have probably been destroyed and considering that the wine had been emptied the bottles started to float up and got caught in a flotsam or jetsam

I really don't think this was supposed to be an accident. These bottles landed in the exact locations listed on mark's map and at the coordinates given to us in the puzzle box. And also currents couldn't carry these bottle down around Africa and South America at the same time and into the Mediterranean Sea. I just think it is too big a coincidence.

Perhaps, but according Roscoe Inman's voicemail (7/29 on the file cabinet) it sounds like the Bellmen's chart predicted exactly when that flotsam and jetsam would land at those coorodinates in such a degree of accuracy that he (Inman) was stumped (and desirous of the methodology).

Along those lines, if there were a ton of flotsam/jetsam that were released from a damaged Rapture, it stands to reason that some would get caught in eddys, snagged in currents, etc. while others went free-flowing around, thereby allowing a simultaneous landing. The accuracy of the chart / OOL's predictions somehow determined exactly when all would land simultaneously. A stretch, but that's how I see it. What do you think?

I mean it is bioshock, i have been surprised before. But it seems stretching it that someone at least didn't initiate this. I could be wrong though.

It's alright, it happens to all of us. But just since I've never given one out before... Trout

ETA: And for today's update...

A voice message from Celeste and more notes on the bottles from Mark on his desk. I'll put a transcription of the message asap.

ths is the point i was trying to get across, this just seems to perfect that the bottles washed ashore when and where the map, coordinates said. and where are the pictures that indicate that parts of raptures have been destroyed (arcadia, where you start off)?

Alright, I've got the transcript of the message down, and you can't tell as much when you read it, but when you hear her you can tell that she's starting to lose it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Mark? Uh, this is Celeste. Yes, obviously I too have seen the bottles and paper that washed up on the beach. Or did they? Are you so sure? Might they not have been uh buried there, planted there for us to find? By Lutwidge or his hired help? Do not be so certain that this so-called evidence means anything at all Mark. It could just be another of ruse luring you into some kind of trap. They could be watching us even now! Oh, w-we will speak uh later, I must go.
