Just to say - Putting 185311212 (RECALL) at the end of the Purity Towers address doesn't work. It was my first thought.

Confused

I'm sure you're right. Hence, the need for the recall.

I mean the Recall email, why would we all need it? V. mysterious.

Maybe it has something to do with the e-mails I've been sending Selvin...A guy can dream right? Rolling Eyes

If you've ever had need of the "recall" function, you know that it's invariably something that needs IMMEDIATE attention and you don't typically have time to go through the distribution list. It's just easier/quicker/more effective to do the recall and pretend the email was never sent, at all. Then send it to the correct list or with the correct content, in a new email.

That logic sounds spot-on, Rogi. Thinking you must be right.

Hi all, After chatting with the other Deputies, we're going to assume that the Deputies / RECALL issue was a slip up by the PMs and was OOG, note this may change in the future in which case you can slap me with a trout.

I'm not sure what the problem is, I've had a lot of discourse with dear Melissa... Cool

I'm still confused... Did/Have the Deputies recieved any emails from Melvin or Selvin today (other than Melvin's email to all of us earlier that stated, "More from SM soon")?

Why did we all get it? Is it possible that we are supposed to recall/remember something from the emails that the deputies recieved? Did we miss something that was in those emails? Since we didn't "[hear] from SM soon" is this somehow supposed to be from Selvin?

Was there an email with the Subject simply, "Deputies:"?

Did Melvin ever actually slip up and send a GU email from the Party account?

Does Melvin want us to convince the Deputies to forward their emails to him (I don't know why on Earth he would!?) Is it possible that Melvin has been found out and the Party is trying to trick us into sending the "Deputies:" email(s) to the Party account?

One last thing (something of a non sequitur) what is the purpose of the http://twitter.com/SelvinMyth account? It has never been used, but at the same time is a public "reveal" that they are one and the same. Isn't this a security risk for Melvin?

I ask these questions not so much because I need/expect answers to all or any of them, but to put them out there for all of us to think about and discuss. Hopefully the Deputies can shine some light on this, but if they can't - that is important to know as well, IMHO.

Thanks for reading this! -osofine-

[Edit: As I'm writing this, I see that the Deputies have come to the conclusion that this is an error (?) by the PM's and is OOG. I guess as something of a n00b I don't understand how this happened... when I googled "message recall" I got a lot of (seemingly) outdated info about Outlook... however, the PM's are using Gmail...]

Guessing it's up to each individual how open they are playing. Why? Care to share a secret with just me and the whole world?
