Care to share what this "She Stirs" you refer to is, and how you managed to acquire that information? I've gone through all the Flash files I could find and find no trace of them or that.

from the page source of http://junsui.shineisei.jp/:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

var fo = new FlashObject("main.swf?52321", "She Stirs", "100%", "100%", "9", "#000000");
fo.addParam("scale", "noscale");
//fo.addParam("base", "swf/");
fo.write("flashcontent");

that's the only other place i've come into contact with the phrase "she stirs" outside of the shirt and the bogus-or-not ftp log.

Shestirs, Homeostatic is looking for a Technical Director (FLASH Media) (Anywhere)

I got the site to load but I just jumped on the ARG boat so I don't really know how to help. Sorry.

It's coming up on Google search if you search for "askforjob.net" and "homeostatic".

Cached page, posted July 8th.

"askforjob.net" is apparently down, so I can't verify if the job listing is still up.

Nice find there. I was searching for it as separate words... Sad

That's true. In saying that, are we 100% positive that this is JUST an ARG and not some elaborate marketing campaign as well?

Honestly, no we're not.

But everything their doing - hosting, design, development, etc... - is above par and really quality work. That doesn't come cheap. This is not some indie puppetmaster running this from his bedroom...

Now, if this is for a product, for "art", to build someone's portfolio, or what... We don't know yet. But with the apparent cost that is associated to this, I have to assume it serves some higher purpose.

Problem is this: the point of a viral marketing campaign is promotion of a product. It doesn't help if you don't know the product.

So either the product is absurdly obvious and the collective Internet just hasn't put two and two together, or there isn't a product in the first place.

THAT, friends, is the biggest enigma of this whole adventure.

That could just be because whoevers sponsoring could be waiting for "critical mass" to build up first. Only thing is no big buck brand would endorse a fake google page and links to RL articles about political murders ...

by typing in "shestirs" into google, i got this as the second result.

it's a since been deleted myspace, but it's a dead giveaway to the company so they might have ditched it.

also, the google search turns up a qbn thread posted by homeostatic himself.

possibly the reason he was trying delete his qbn account? the message is long gone from the site.

there are a couple other job related sites that come up as hits to but i'll let you poke around for yourselves.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Smile

We didn't say it was nothing, all we said was that we wouldn't believe it was relevant until we had some proof.

That's pretty much the name of the game here, imho.
