No joke Scotty - my fear is that they haven't updated the box, and we've already gotten the correct answer, but it won't "work" until the update occurs! THAT would suck. Shocked

been thinking the same thing but hopefully they have had enough forethought and maybe even watched the forums Confused

Indeed. but we are so very close. I can smell it. But, hey, maybe it'll update here soon. the last update took place like a day after the update before.

by the way, he has a book about sea creatures, and a bookmark, which i think he will write down the word phronima, for the other people who are trying to catch up, and don't have the word yet. So, he's getting there. we should know by next post what exactly it is we're looking for... please come soon! It's like Christmas for ARGers!

Is it me or is there a new page in the middle of the floor in the middle of the room, where Mark writes "Is that what I think it means?!"

okay, three questions. First of all, what is the bioroom? perhaps our next spot?
Second, on the source code, it says "I'm watching you. Stop it, that tickles"... it's humerous, but I don't get it.
and third, what's the box there for? I've already solved this particular box.
bioroom is the name of the main flash file for the site, all other flash files (except the preloader) are inked to it.
That comment is just to say that they know we are sleuthing and reading the source code.
That url is just a demonstration of how the files exist on the site. If you find the url of the flash, you can download it and play with it separately from the website.

new update: there is a paper hidden next to the lamp that indicates that Mark knows Rapture is underwater and a new message from Inman

Yes indeed. He's finally starting to pick up again. Why has Inman been living at command, but is now ever too anxious to speak with Mark? hmm... seems fishy to me. Inman is a little too friendly. I spy a bad guy.

Ah, okay, I get it. good work m'boy! It's good to have some hackers on our side. I have a friend that is a professional hacker for a company to prevent it from being hacked, and I might have him try and do some stuff. Even if it's cheating. Wink

long time reader, first time poster. finally in a position to see new things as they appear instead of looking at back logs and wiki entries.

next to the letter from Inman is another letter kinda hidden in the darkness. it seems to be an unsent letter from Mark to Celeste suggesting that Lutwidge might still be alive and controlling things behind the scenes right now instead of from years ago before he disappeared.

also there's a phone message from Inman asking to be kept in the loop and that he's willing to use his resources 'off the book' and that command doesn't have to know a thing. Yeah this guy's a creeper.

Tell me about it... there's a 300 page discussion over at the 2K forums and it's mostly about
Lutwidge is X!
Inman is Y!
Celeste is actually Tenenbaum is actually Big Sister is actually Fontaine is actually MARK MELTZER.

did anyone FEEL that?

This thread is going off the rails.

Back on track... any updates? I read the hidden letter in the dark. Is there anything we're missing? I don't know why but I get the feeling something is hiding from us in plain sight.

I know. That letter threw me for a loop - never saw it. Been trying everything I can think of for the box puzzle, but no dice. I'm convinced that despite our mental might that we need to wait for another update to the flash itself - I'm sure they don't want us getting "too far" ahead.

Also, any guesses on how long the ARG will run? Is the Nov. 3 launch date (listed on the 2k forum by Elizabeth) still valid? Sorry if I'm behind the times on that last question......

My assumption would be we'd be playing until the game comes out - opinions?

I sincerely doubt that they can keep SitS going until a Feb-Mar release. There is probably going to be a big cliffhanger.

So Feb/March is the new anticipated release date? I know the NOV 3 date listed on 2K Was from back in May......

And I agree - cliffhanger likely, but how cool would it be to have a cliffhanger only a few days/hours before its release?
