Also, the "time traveller" has returned to GLP.

Again, a warning to 369.994, if you are staging an ARG, you would be well advised to move it off Godlikeproductions. Search for "blackjack12" and read the gazillion posts there to see what they did to that poor guy.

Hacked his personal server, found and posted his real name and address on the Net, deluged his employer with email demanding that he be fired, etc etc ...

Not good stuff at all. At first, they refused to believe it was a game and completely obsessed on solving all the clues, then when doom didn't occur on the date they had deciphered, they were just furious that they'd been "hoaxed" even though it was clearly a game and they had been told over and over and over by many people that it was a game. So they wanted his head.

It was kinda ugly.

Progress. 369 visited live chat on godlikeproductions.com last night.

He was there for a little while, about an hour while I was there. He did not text chat or speak using his voice. Instead what came across was lots of breakup, static, and sounds of very powerful radio signals with the occasional 'message'. These messages were his computer talking to him, giving him status reports, warnings and instructions.....What I picked up from the computer messages was that he was experiencing lots of signal instability. We heard messages regarding signal instability until eventually hearing a message stating that they had encountered 3rd party interference and were switching to somewhere in the 800 frequency range.

One of the last messages stated that he would return in 24 hours.....
thats right. www.godlikeproductions.com, live chat. I came in at 10:30pm EST and he was already there so I would say 9:30 or 10.

I did manage to record just a bit of the message, so you could get a taste.

It's just a little too convenient that within days of GLP rolling out their new (expensive) custom voice chat software, a time traveler appears and chooses that site and that software to deliver his messages.

This is also just about 6 weeks after a bizarre mass banning episode at GLP that resulted in a catastrophic drop in traffic for a site that generates ad revenue.

Are you trying to say that this 369 character is all a put-on orchestrated by godlikeproductions? THat would be pretty silly and an awefull lot of work for the few people that might trickle in as a result....

And about the major drop off in numbers; my understanding was that there was a glitch somehow that when they banned one AOL member it banned every AOL member...Dont know anything about it....

Really though it would not be worth the effort for the very little extra attention this is creating....

I don't know about you guys, but after discovering the news today on Yahoo, I sorta got chills. Some have probably already seen that a new earth-like planet was discovered, I'm just getting odd vibes that this might not be a joke? I know it's weird to think so, but ANYTHING is possible, right?

I agree. If time travel exists at any point in the future, then this might be real. Of course it's very unlikely, but hanging with otherworldly beings sounds potentially fun.
