I have a feeling that's going to be a hard axon to get to.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I can just picture some poor sap milling around the payphones with a GPS unit and a laptop getting tackled by a bunch of security guards.

Well, I'm headed there at 3:00, so I'll be that poor sap who gets tackled. Hopefully I'll be able to get this one. Kinda worried about being the first, though. Wink

Well don't bring anything with you when you go. Wear normal clothing, don't look too suspicious and there probably won't be any trouble.

It'd be pretty cool if all of these could get answered today. I'm anxious to see if these new files provide a look into conversations between the Queen and the Flea, as the SPs message seems to indicate.

We'll look for you on the news. Smile

Hey, any idea how you're going to proceed? You going to try the name/nickname/password or something new?

Plus, I hear the weather in Guantanamo Bay is lovely this time of year ...

Phone to address mapping...

I'm surprised there isn't more awareness of this, but Iky found a tool (thread) that is strongly suspected to have been used by the PMs to generate coordinates using addresses. The two Pittsburgh axons that I found were both in buildings whose addresses generated exact coordinate matches, and there have been other confirmations using this technique as well. Here's what I recommend:

1.) Use MapQuest's Lat/Long mapping tool to get you in the neighborhood. Look at the map.

2.) Determine the addresses of nearby buildings (or look up addresses by building or business name if you're familiar with the area), and try to feed in the addresses to the GeoCode site. You can also try looking up payphones here.

3.) If you get a dead-on match for the coordinates, chances are pretty good (if these are in reference to phones) that the phone is either inside or very close by.

Well if you get there, look for my cousin. He's an MP.

Well, I got 4 before, so if it is the same setup, I'll be golden.

I have the phone # of someone on the IRC channel, so updates will happen there almsot realtime. I'll try and bring my tape recorder so I can get a copy of the conversation.

If Melissa (?) asks for something else though... well, let's hope that it's something we can get. Given how much time they're giving us though, I can't imagine it's going to be too hard.

Perhaps now's a good time to re-iterate the benefit of taking along a letter of intent (someone can link to the thread that discusses that), especially for the near-whitehouse axon!

Whoever goes, be sure to bring a print out of the wav's for reference on any questions. Check out www.thebruce.ca/ilovebees

Do we know it's Melissa? The Sleeping Princess just posted a new message:

The Sleeping Princess wrote:
So: once I knew there were little teeny secret paths, I snooped all around until I found a hidden passageway behind the kitchen (emphasis mine) where YOU could spy on them. And that's my prize for you all, brought to you by Paul P.

I think these messages are of the Queen and the Flea, recorded by the Princess. It'll probably be the Princess on the other end.

Portland - new axon

I can hit the Portland axon. I'm coordinating with SpaceBass for recording equipment and will scout the area a bit prior to time.

PM me here or in #beekeepers, or AIM"wurmouroboros" if you can meet me there. If you have my pantsphone number from Tuesday, feel free to ive me a call. I'll be out at noon.

Anyone else think that the new .wavs appear to be one series, complete from beginning to end?

Okay, maybe I'm stating the obvious but the first one is called "hello" and the last one is "goodbye."

CYA there, INCyr

For heaven's sake. It's just a street corner. Not even inside the restricted zone around the White House.

I wonder if it's this one (although we're not by the east gate...)

half block from the east gate of the white house. (202) 789-9080\

(from the new payphone site)

Posted this in another thread, but it might be relevant:

I believe we (whoever actually goes to the GPS locations) should not be over-confident about the contact coming over a pay-phone, because SP heard
Quote:
the Flea telling her to build some little teeny roads. Secret paths.

Have the locations been scouted out yet? I'd do it myself but it's difficult what with me being in Mexico City...

It might be useful to look for wireless hotspots, or dead drops, or even open phone jacks... Can't really Spec further without more data.

I love this stuff!

Behind the kitchen = recipe3

If "behind the kitchen" is a direct reference to the "recipes" section of the site, where the links appeared on recipe3, then perhaps the other rooms have other associations. The "deepest dungeon" of the castle could indeed indicate being embedded in hardware (or very low system-level software). Would the queen being in the tower and liking "high places" have anything to do with the opposite of where SP came from?

I wonder if the URLs for the upcoming files will contain different host or path data from the previous "transmit.ilovebees.com", since the assumption is that they're coming from SP this time.
