lol the funny thing is what has been going through my head the whole night (i haven't read UNF all night) is "it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth; the minor fall, the major lift..." just to read our beloved junko ARG forum and see this awesome work Smile

I've used a freeware wav to midi converter on it. First encouraging sign - the key's highest note is 6th octave and there's a clear gap between notes from the 6th and 7th, so the notes 7 octaves and above can probably be ignored.

I doubt the conversion was very accurate but here it is anyway, with the 7th octave and above notes removed.

edit: missed some really high notes that are most likely errors in the conversion.
editedit - there's a lot to do on this, just got rid of the flat notes that aren't part of it. I think someone a bit better than me at this sort of thing needs to do this.

well we know the John Cage song reads "REvOlUTiOn ExPECTinG"

what i think we need to do now is analyze the tones at the beginning of the camera animation Wink

i've been working on it for the past 2 hours but cant figure out the durations of the notes which is key.
Also, there's some notes that are black, but the cipher utilizes all white keys.
Perhaps it needs to be transposed and re-read?
The available keys are A, D, and E which puts the melody into all white keys.

Here's the original notes in midi:

The camera tones:

The cipher midis:
a-z
A-Z
1-9 (0 isn't coded)
and the symbols "~ ` @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) { } | ; : ."
. is read as a quarter rest

Ha! You're right. I'd not zoomed out on the midi file and seen that it was a repeating cycle.

for crossreference
Ok here's what I got from the tones on the A-T camera site:
they're actually transposed two semitones down. they have notes that fall on black keys, but we know that this particular cipher uses only white keys.

so i put them up 2 semitones and deciphered from there

R F NOC:1

you can put it in here to confirm:
http://p22.com/musicfont/

as far as what this means, i'm not sure.

Radio Frequency NOC:1?

is NOC an abbreviation for a location like the coordinate puzzle?

There's a bunch of acronyms to choose from!

I don't think any of this is useful, but I'll keep searching. Maybe Mr Dubrovin might be able to make something of it.
