I noticed in Entry 12, around 0:49, Alex said something that sounded like "Here's Tim" before walking toward the figure in the background. I agree that the video probably takes place before he started getting paranoid, I just thought I'd point that little detail out...

I don't think it's a continuation of Entry 5, because wasn't J the cameraman in Entry 5? You'd think he'd say something about why he wasn't in Entry 12.

They see him before taping?


Side note: Tim is the name of a character of Marble Hornets, not an actor.

Edit: I also hear somone saying 'Oh, that's Chriss (Gross? Something like that) before 'Hey it's Tim'

For reasons covered by World Ends, I do not see Entry #12 as an extension of #5. Plus why would they be location scouting and then filming the following day? Location scouting is done around the time you're casting, at the latest.

Tim is one of the characters of Marble Hornets, but they seem to be talking to each other using character names rather than actor names for whatever reason. Presumably the cast isn't very tight (which would make sense, with Alex directing).

Woah, Ur rg you've got a point. They probably had to adjust the shot and by the end are like "wtf dude can you please move?"

Now to explain why I believe #2 comes before #12:
If he directly interacts with #12, I can only imagine something occurred (with Slender Man being all unnatural) that would set in motion Alex's haunting/madness/change of personality/obsession with Slender Man. I may be wrong, but that would make sense, what with all the unpleasantness that the Slender Man invokes.

With #2, though, Alex never sees the Slender Man except for a passing glance. If one of these two were to be an instigating incident, I'd put all my money on #12. And due to Alex's nonchalance during Entry #2, it has to have occurred before he became paranoid about Mr. Thin.

If indeed #2 was the first one, I'd think that Alex would somehow connect that the guy in the woods was the same one on the side of the street.

However, vice versa, if #12 was the first one, you'd think Alex would connect it when he saw the guy in the street.

It's still too difficult to tell at this point.

Also, there are at least 3 people around in #12. Whatever happened after the vid cuts would most likely have been witnessed by all of them. My best guess is that "Mr. Thin" (lol!) didn't do too much damage at that point.

Well my theory is that there's something in the woods that this entity doesn't want found. And because Alex came to that location to film, is worried that it would be found. Thus, this creature stalking the shit out of him so Alex would cease his project.

Now that I realize that they were talking about SM at the beginning of 12, it seems very likely that everyone could see him and that when the girl says, "whats he doing" shes referring to SM. This also shows that SM can be seen with the naked eye as well.

Well going by that, if everyone could see Slender Man, why did SM basically only single out Alex?

OR, maybe Slender Man did stalk the other crew as well and we just don't know about it.

Yea, but if the guy is so strange looking, you'd think you would remember something like that. I mean, if it was some guy with brown hair wearing a t shirt and jeans, then yea, you might easily forget about him.

But remember that assuming #2 came first, he only saw Mr. Thin for a few moments, and he probably just looked like a tall, slender, silhouette. Not exactly the best way to determine what someone looks like. He could have been anybody.
