mamimi, i saw that as well, but i figured it was strictly coincidence, since there was literally nothing before that, nothing after, and nothing in the entire text that was anything more than "fox".

I checked the area around it just now with a hex editor and saw nothing suspicious either.

I give up on the steganography stuff (mostly because I don't really know what I'm doing Razz).
The last program I used was
http://hidereveal.ncottin.net/software.php
which is free, java based and supports png…
I think it has to be something more obvious…

I feel like we just got scolded by dad... :/

Quote:
Mr. Tutanda,

While the location of the second "lock" image is a positive development, the time it took for your group to locate this image is completely unacceptable. Apparently the image was posted by the terrorists on 25.08. That means that they are likely days ahead of us.

I expect that in the future your group will do a more thorough investigation so that you do not miss what is a first page Google result? This is a very grave scenario we are facing. Information obtained from a detainee now gives us reason to to believe that the terrorists might have recently obtained multiple PE4 ordinance. I cannot stress to you enough the importance of intercepting these communications.

Regards,
Dubrovin

First of all, I will introduce myself. I'm new to ARG's, but i got quite interested in this schemes since it started. I have been folowing the clues and right now, i'm inside Men of Taste, collaborating how i can with them. My FB is Juan Carlos Ruz.

I have been reading this forum cos you seem the most inteligent people, and i'd like to try and help.

About that PE4 ordinance, what does Dubrovin mean? I have quite good knowledge of weapons, and while certain handguns are referred as PP or PE, there's no such PE4. All i can think of is the brittish name for the C4 plastic explosive, PE-4. Maybe they have explosives? If so, where would they plant it? I doubt they can get straight to the Alfa tsentr base and blow little bird free... Any idea?

It's exactly the same except for a different measurement of the plastics used.

but that's not the matter at hand... We've really got to get into that .png

I messaged him back about the steganography program that romanenko mentioned, and the mac software....

I would try that program, but it's not a good idea to download foreign programs on a government computer...

it't the British equivilent to C-4. problem solved.
EDIT: FYI, ordinance is military jargon for explosives.

our goal is not to find out where they plan to attack. it is to decrypt the.png to find out what they are communicating to prevent the attack from happening in the first place

Do not allow yourselves to be sidetracked.

Prioritize the problemset.

1. get into the png
2. exploit the information within it.

That is our goal for right now.

Amazing! I've been cracking my head all day to no avail. Now what can we get from those? Communion, the window... I have no guess right now, but i remember one of Junko's facebook post talking about some "electric window".
