There is no point in messing around with meta right now.

True, but for some time it has been difficult to seperate meta OOG and IG. Earlier in the game the PM flipped shit when Patrick's name and info were posted, but recently they themselves have introduced him as IG. Its tough to know where the line is.

What the hell. Patrick Marckesano just emailed me:

Fwd: DPR Korea business

I know you people work for my old boss Dubrovin and that cheeky Spanish Mao, Mr. Alejandro.

I retained an FTP login to MoT that let's me access mail directories. Forwarded what I found to the NYTimes.

Oh and my IP trace it and you'll go right to Langley's proxy. Figure that one out yet?

Good luck finding me.

I think Patrick wasn't meant to be IG, but once he got involved, they changed strategy.

I got the same email chain. Started a separate thread for Patrick.

And I too re-contacted Basil on LinkedIn. Still not convinced of their involvement.

Their response:

Subject: Hello again

I not part of your mysteries. Im merely try locating Patrick Markesano to help him.

Okay, I think I'm done. I'm sure I'll keep tabs on what's going on here, but I'm not sure I'll be "playing" anymore. It's one thing to disregard (disrespect?) all the "rules" of an ARG, and just go bats**t crazy with the line between IG and OOG... It's another to be messing with things that sound really... unsafe and drag other people in with you. I believe I'll be minimizing my presence in this whole thing.

i have to kind of agree here. this started out seeming like an ARG but now this is completely insane. seems like more and more 'real life' elements are being brought into this.

I feel like an idiot coming in to ask this, but is there a resource so I can get up-to-speed on this thing? I've lurked here since the "What's in the Box" thing started, and I decided to sign up finally. I'd like to be brought up to speed so I don't accidentally contribute something useless.
