I sent a message to totheark last night asking whether J could be trusted. My reasoning being J's recent bouts of insomnia and illness showing a possible SM infection. Trust me the idea seemed more inspired and coherent at the time. I got a response from him today.

okay, so just my 2 cents (and 1st post by the way!) I'm not much of a puzzle solver myself, but i guess i can see a pattern in a narration when there is one.

I've been "analysing" some audio, and there is one constant between J's vidz and totheark vidz : the left track systematically has less gain, while most of the distortion and artefacts (like the voices heard in tot videos) are present on the right channel only.
This seems to indicate that these audio tracks do have a common origin, whether they have been shot with the same equipment (although why would a film student go around shooting his project with a botched mic?) or have suffered the same (paranormal?) treatment.

Also, as narrative value goes, diverging stereo tracks always ring the "brain lobes" / "schyzophrenia" bell for me... This is stressed by the fact that, as someone said earlier, tot has started responding when J started being sick, as if it were a consequence of J being affected by the tapes. and now J seems as eager as we are to see tot's responses, which just sounds... off... (i mean, he said it was sarting to be innerving earlier).
Other point : if the tot audio is confirmed to be part of the cut-out audio from the regular entries, doesn't this taste like a psychanalytic pattern? i mean, crucial info popping up in a weird/distorted/cryptic form... and the "THERE IS MORE" message, indicating more psychological repression...

There's something in the audio of the impurity video (maybe the others too?). Downloaded it through vid2mp3 and did some work with audacity (reduced the white noise etc.). Still have no idea what it is, coz I'm not a pro.

edit: I'm quite sure it's speech
