The old Book of Riddles has 4515 pages.
Page 1 says: "1 page is lying"
Page 2 says: "2 pages are lying"
And so on until page 4515 says: "4515 pages are lying"

Only one page of the book tells the truth.
Which one?

I'm stuck at here...could any1 giv some clues??

am i missing something silly?
hi, ive been reading as a guest for a while but finally decided to post -
i starting trying to get through WIQ this week, but am stuck on q31, the treasure map.

ill put my question in a spoiler block, as i am not sure what i am allowed to post or not:

In any case, i went through the letter and used it to decipher the clue on the map, i understand that bigfoot takes double size steps from the journal, and i also figured out that the bday must be 12/31 and the crew contains 18 people (or 19, if that counts the writer?).
but the umpteen combinations i have submitted are all wrong - ive tried doubling the first leg and/or all the legs, different variations on the bday for depth, and the same for the cipher - i dont want to waste all my IPs just guessing because of some ambiguity in the question - can anyone help?




sorry if my question is a little rant-like, but my brain is fried from going through this so many times and its hard to type nicely formed sentences Smile

I'm given numeric values for a, i, e, and n and a quadratic equation x 2 -4x+8=0. Using the quadratic formula I got that x=2+2i or x=2-2i. Not sure what to do with it at this point.

Oh crap. Stuck on 25 since more than a week... I just read the whole thread here, but that didn't help much... Adventurik said we should pair the letters.

And I recall having read something about letters "between the letters".
But I can't really fit something in there.

HJ - ammo - are the - ZB ammo - deaf
Didn't really work. Maybe something on the keyboard?

no letter between H and J
K is between M and O
nothing between R and T
XCV between Z and B on the english layout
K again
and nothing between D and F.

All jibberish.


Am I thinking too far?

 		so im positive this is gonna be the funniest post in the thread.. stuck on number 2.

Master Hu has asked you as his disciple to enter the Shonim Temple and bring him his old sword.
When you arrive at the gates of the temple you are asked for the password. You don't know it so you sit by the gates and watch other travelers go in.
The first traveler is standing in front of the gates and the Gatekeeper says:
' One.'
The traveler says:
' Three.'
He is allowed to enter.
The second traveler arrives and the Gatekeeper says:
' Eleven.'
The traveler says:
' Six.'
He also enters.
A third traveler arrives and he is asked:
' Four.'
He says:
' Four' and enters.
You decide to try your luck. The Gatekeeper says:
' Seven.'
