Huh... Learn something new every day...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084827/trivia

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The original plan was to have the circuit lines of the "good" programs glow yellow, and the "bad" programs would have blue circuit lines. At one point this was changed to where good programs are blue, and evil ones are red. Some of the original coloring remains, mostly in tank programs (Clu has yellow lines on his uniform, and all of Sark's tank commanders are pale green). But Flynn takes on this greenish tint after he crashes the reconizer and gets knocked out, shortly after he gets up he returns to the normal blue.

No news = ...?

So I guess there's nothing new yet... I might just be impatient, but i kinda want something to happen to show that it wasn't all just for SDCC.

but that may just be pure impatience.

Well, I signed up. Let's see if this starts going someplace.
In the mean time, some stuff for you to enjoy:
1080p HD teaser trailer(direct link, not the web player)
GLTron, a free open source cross-platform Light Cycle game.

Check Ebay. It will pop up once a year. no telling the condition though. You can always refurbish it your self. I do.

Trivia
The game that became Discs Of Tron was supposed to be included in Tron, but the programming was not completed in time.

As every good Tron fan knows, the grid bugs were almost entirely edited out of the movie (what was left was about two seconds of an animation of a grid bug creating itself). Grid bugs appear in the game because of pressures to develop the arcade game in time for the release of the movie (all part of Disney's sales strategy for the movie's launch -- posters and trailers ended with a tagline along the lines of: "See the movie. Play the game.") So, game programmers had to use whatever script elements they could from the movie before the film itself was actually completed. Light cycles, tanks, recognizers, and the MCP, of course, all made the final cut -- the grid bugs did not.

Though I can not find how many of the two different style cabinets were made, I do know there are still at least 58 original dedicated machines left. Be aware that there are conversion cabinets out there. The board and graphics can be put in and on a number of generic cabinets.

The discs game would be perfect for the Wii. Just imagine that nunchuk controller in a motion for tossing a disc, nice 50something inch widescreen TV...

Oh, and I've played GLTron on the 40" here. It's slick.

I could have sworn the game was part of one of my classic game collections for PS2, but if so it's a hidden extra I can't find again. It's supposed to be available via XBox Live Arcade.

Well, considering there isn't much of a "topic" at the moment...No. No, we can't.

But we could certainly at least attempt to be civil to one another.

*sigh* I'm ready for some updates, but I might be getting spoiled by the other ARG I'm following, since that one's been updating pretty regularly. /shrug I guess I'll have to learn to be more patient with this one and wait to see if there's anything more to it.

I just recieved a FedEx package from Flynn Lives.

In it was a plastic model of...something. I can't describe it and I can't recall if I saw it in the original film.

Here's a few pictures of it.
