If Marble Hornets was filmed a year ago, and so was this, couldn't this be in a similar time frame where Alex was walking his dog? The mention a road nearby by.

Yeah, I had been assuming that they were in reality actually filmed in the last few months, and they were just saying it's older to give it more credence and less obviously an association with the SA thread.
