I think it's always a "Good Thing (tm)" when you have a map:

As Aliendial described, there was only one phone in the apparent location and it did not ring. I checked outside at 12:17 at all three street corners and saw no obvious disturbance. I forgot to note the phone number of the payphone, and I did not call to verify a ring. Aliendial or INCyr, did either of you try ringing up the phone afterward to test it? I asked neaby restaurant employees about payphones in the area, and they described the general location of another payphone.

Sounds like someone decided to act on Capt. Greene's information...

Aliendial said she tested it before I got there. I have no reason to believe she didn't so I didn't bother to test it myself.

oh wow. yeah, someone definitely did warn the folks on Troy, and covertly evacuated them... or at least SOME of them. I wonder if Melissa did...

EDIT: for clarity.

Didn't sound all that covert to me... it sounded like a mass exodus. Which means either someone on Melissa's ship gave their eavesdropping away to the extent that they had nothing to lose by evacuating Troy, or Capt. Greene got the message to HQ and the Admirals "earned their pay" by deciding that their ability to spy on the enemy wasn't as important as saving the Trojans.

receipt transcript:

Quote:
guy: So, I'm in my house on Troy, it's the middle of the night, and all of a sudden a bunch of combat booted muscle-heads barge in and huzzle me at gunpoint - at gunpoint, mind you! Under some kind of transport in my damn bathrobe! Well, I had some paper's, very important family papers and I made them promise to ship them to me. I managed to hold the goons of long enough to write off a bill of [mumble], you know, a receipt! And finally I got this really rude marine to sign it, this Lance Corporal, and here I am, 3 months later, and no sign of my papers - no sign at all!
girl: You're complaining about evacing from Troy, Sir?
guy: Well, not saying there was no reason for the whole thing, obviously... but the point is I have a receipt!
girl: *sigh* Name on the receipt?

(sorry if there are errors, english is not my mother tongue)

Also, although this isn't the place to discuss it... activating "receipt" did increment the counter from 119/777 to 120/777 (if you're keeping score).
