Can anyone decode the barcode? I've looked for online software and there is none that I can find for that type of barcode.

I couldn't find anything to decode the maxicode either.

About the chat, I might be stating the obvious, but I'm pretty sure he's a time traveller then. But I guess that should have been kinda clear because of the doctor who reference. Embarassed

Wow, this looks way out of my league.

Count me in! Very Happy

Also, can someone drop a link to the 2 mb text file? RS won't let you download it....

EDIT: Okay, now that I've read the thread a little more carefully, disregard that last sentence.

Blink was... the Weeping Angels, right? If I'm remembering that correctly, and if there's any actual connection, I am so in, or at very least lurking the thread to see what happens.

EDIT: Ok... lets say one supposed maxicode decoder, one that was a plain barcode reader(Of course it didn't work) and on very ugly virus (which thankfully is now gone)...lol!

yea, it was

connection seems to be that video talking from the past with the script from the future..

the half a conversation from the .wav on the other page...

God, I can't seem to find a MaxiCode decoder--or at least a key--anywhere! Bang Head

Stupid question, but does anybody have a scanner? It seems to be the only way we can get on with it....

EDIT:

I'll continue hunting for a key or something, and do this thang manually.

Ok so, I've been listening to the recording again, and you're right it does sound like a half conversation.
Maybe we have to fill in the questions that he is answering?

(I've heard some different things since listening to it again, so this transcript is slightly different to the one on the other page)

Quote:
"You did it."

"Light"

"powered by the artifacts of the past"

"and it's a test(imant?)"

"Why? because...because you could be trusted"

"I know you"

"I come not, from (???)"

"yes, it was a surprise that it took you so long to figure it out"

"no, how do you (???)"

"I can't say, sorry"

"For now, but this is not over"

"I know that I'll need you in the future"

"You got this right, you can do it again"

"Call me Vega. Thank you"

Again, this is just what I hear. Do you guys hear anything different.

No luck on finding a maxicode reader on my end either.

edit: unspoilered the transcript. no need to spoiler audio transcript, please save them for puzzle answers or solutions or key story plot points people may not want to see. tnx --thebruce

Just noticed something in the chat log.

Quote:
watch Dr. Who and find the website

Looks like we're searching for a website, possibly within the Maxicode. Could it be within the episode of doctor who? It doesn't seem likely but the way that's worded it interesting because in the same sentence he says watch Dr. Who and find the website. They're probably unconnected but yeah, whatever.
Scold me if I'm just being obvious.

EDIT: on a side note, "Blink" is up on youtube. just earch "blink doctor who" and it should come up.

Great job Cypher80b!

So... 69, what does that mean?

In the episode blink, the doctor is trapped in 1969...
