Whoever wrote that needs a raise, it is so creepy and ominous.

That is so awesome, yet creepy haha. Man that's gotta be pretty cool to have something like that.

I'm pretty sure that the pages after the first one (triangle with triangle etc.) are just extra. Something to make this whole journey more eerie and real Razz Though better not rule it out straight away. I'll slave over this book for a while to see if any clues for the 5x5 puzzle are there.

I see more puzzle-puzzle interaction in the near future. My opinion on the 5x5 its acting like, well, the cube is out of power or is missing a component. The newest puzzle is nice and all with the circle the square bit inside but from playing the game itself, there is something more to that hexagonal puzzle.

Someway or another the circuit board pictures on the outside of the newest puzzle will interact with the Cube in some way, because whatever that cube is supposed to do, it has not done it yet.

Definitely. It also kind of clears up some of OOL's more confusing Wonderland references and makes the whole Wonderland analogy make more sense, with references to the White Rabbit and the unexpected side effects of the cookies/bottle labeled "eat/drink me," among other things.

The 9th page has what looks like a picture of that statue that you see in Fontaine futuristics in the Bioshock 2 demo, and Ludwidge is asking who he is, well it's sttue of Fontaine, maybe he's not dead after all?

Edit: On page 11, he talks about Celeste getting him locked away in Tollvue, he says "Orrin escaped from wonderland, only to be betrayed by everyone. Let the French (Celeste) Fry. Let her seeing eye dogs be blinded" but the next bity I don't understand; "and pity the seeker who seeks in vain" isn't Mark the seeker?

I think it's Atlas, actually. Not the rebel, but the one from Greek Mythology. With that note about latitude along with all that stuff on the first page, I think that its gonna play some part in the 5x5 puzzle. Maybe the puzzle itself is like a grid or something.

I took Wonderland to mean Rapture, and he was betrayed by everyone there (as he was there for the civil war it seems). Thoughts?

I agree in one regard for sure - it seems like he is after Celeste for putting him away.

He might mean something like wonderland being rapture as said above. He pulled off escaping from the doomed city and its civil war and came back to the US. The betrayal? He might mean that when he got back from rapture he tried to explain what rapture was and its current condition. To the average 60's person Ludwige would sound totally insane, so he is put away in the nut house, even though everything he said was true.

SITE UPDATED

Sorry bout the double post but the site has been updated, looks like mark has cleaned up the trainwreck of his house, all is back where it should be. On the floor infront of the archive their is a note summing up his experience at the assylum and there appears to be a new message on the answering machine.

it's the last page that gets me...

does anyone else take this to mean the Big Sister is Lutwidge's DAUGHTER? that when in the record message she's calling for her daddy she really means Lutwidge because he left her?

Wow - nice theory!!!! Very Happy Never thought of it that way, but if OOL was in Rapture long enough to have a daughter..... Interesting.

I had the total off-the-wall thought that maybe Celeste was actually his daughter, and he was the one she was seeking........I like your idea much better!

I'm new to this site but have been following the story from the beggining and I noticed that the 5x5 puzzle grid remains unsolven. However when I was looking at the box and opened it, none of the grid puzzles were present.

Instead a new puzzle was there with four square lines around a Rapture logo all with the symbols we know and love. Trying to complete this puzzle involved the sliding of these symbols around the squares, however they would often teleport into another square when moving them. I only managed to get rid of one symbol and it caused the Rapture logo to glow blue, I was not able to solve the rest of the puzzle. Now however, when I open the box it opens the grid puzzle.

Has anyone encourntered this also?
Perhaps it is the puzzle after the 5x5 grid? and I saw it as it was being updated? or I am just really lucky Very Happy

Sorry, RaptureCultist. That's the first puzzle with that box, and it opens with the phrase "redqueen". Check out the wiki at http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/There%27s_Something_in_the_Sea to see where everything is currently. To get to the 4x4 you have to solve the jewelrybox puzzle and input the song "what do you do with a drunken sailor" on the keys inside. That was all discussed waaaaay back.

Did ya see?
Maybe nothing...

It may be nothing, but Mark sayed he almost got shanked for winning at Go Fish in the assylum because the deck had 3 "Queen of Hearts". That stuck in my craw. There are so many random, obscure references on SiTS I feel sometimes I am looking to deep, and other times, I am not going deep enough. Or is it just me?
