Oh my god, that's awesome .
If only I had discovered ARGs some more years ago.

so you want ways that info is delivered?
did you include craigslist, ebay, in-game forums?
I remember a bunch of spirals from ARGFest NY that were for a game.
Perplexcity cards had game info too.
I've been sent to the library at least twice to look for clues hidden in books..
voices from beyond the grave? (ok that counts as a live event, but still)
recorded messages or calls sent to cellphones (I still have memories from LCP of a woman screaming about someone being killed.)
a girl's hair ribbon with code on it
newspapers
yarn
fried CDs with codes on them ...I think they were free discs of AOL that used to be around everywhere all the time.
postcards
crossword puzzles and word find puzzles (including teh infamous evil cube)
SD cards or whatever we got from Art of the Heist
business cards
scavenger hunts
letters in jars of honey
Maybe we should just make a list from the ARGMusuem at ARGFest

Quick Note... @Steve I just tried to look at your slides and I'm getting an "access denied" message.
Figured you'd like to know, if you already didn't....

Yes, I've had to temporarily make them private due to....legal requests by a previous employer. Hopefully I'll have them up again, soon.

I know that this could be covered in a lot of things already previously said, but I always thought that it would be neat to get see notes that Middle Schoolers pass back and forth during class used during an ARG. The other day, I ran across a notebook that a friend and I had passed back and forth in 7th grade to communicate during a math class, and it was interesting to see a sort of narrative unfold.
Is that as ridiculous as it sounds? XD

Not at all!
Ok, a little ridiculous but only because you passed an entire notebook back and forth. We're you crazy?! How'd you not get caught?!
Other than that, I think it sounds fantastic - what a great example

You never did that, imbri? Sometimes the notebooks in my school were Slam Books, and those were never exactly fun to read. Very gossipy, though!

I just wanted to update this thread with some cleverness from Must Love Robots.
1) to overcome the problem of having to get drops out to people scattered across the country, the PMs used Kinkos as the delivery site. Brilliant!
2) we recently learned the mechanics of an upcoming task that some players will be carrying out this weekend: They have to dress up in a costume , go to a local Subway restaurant, and enter in a 'code' through the 'input device', aka the soda machine. We think this means that they have to fill up their drinks in a particular order. Doing so will destroy robotkind.
So add 'soda dispenser' to the list of story delivery devices...
