I'm wondering if Daghita Mathewson Woelk is an anagram or something. Such a weird name.

It's the name of a firm: Daghita, Mathewson and Woelk are all surnames. I'm assuming they're somewhat international, too. Daghita is Indian, Woelk is German, of Slovak origin.

For what little it's probably worth, I looked up census data on those names. There was only ONE Daghita family in the US in 1920. They lived in Pennsylvania. There was also a HUGE concentration of Mathewsons and Woelks there.

Awaiting her appearance on AIM now. We're going to have an interesting conversation about the differences between jellyfish and hydrozoa.

Yeah, haven't received anything from anyone yet. No response from the Craigslist email either. (Comet?) Maybe we're supposed to figure out something about that email picture?

Pretty much anything about the picture.
She posted it for a reason.. I'm not sure what we're supposed to do with it exactly. Haha.

Hrm....

This seems to be going nowhere until we figure the last post out and I keep coming back to the Kreutzer Sonata but I can't find any clues.

Google'd "sonata by John W."

Maybe we're supposed to find a Sonata?...

Not sure if this is anything, but I took a look at the email image, and when I used Paint to fill the body of the email, I noticed that a smattering of pixels on the right hand corner of the image are not actually "white" - so they don't fill with the others. Below is an image of the random pixels (this is post-fill, so the dark blue in my pic was white in the original) magnified to 400% for ease of viewing.

Could be a fluke of gmail, but it seems awfully convenient. Maybe a constellation? The set on the right kind of looks like a house to me?

ETA: Just tried it on a screenshot of my own gmail and did not get anything out-of-place. That plus the fact that these are single pixels makes me think/hope this is not random...

Weird!! But most likely just a compression thing. What format was the original pic in?

It was also a PNG. The off-pixels, in case they mean anything, are all RGB 254, 254, 254 (for comparison, "true white" is 255, 255, 255) and #fefefe (again, true white is #ffffff). Could there be a compression issue that causes something like that? You may be right about it just being coincidence, but I'm not sure where else to go with this at this point?

PNG is a lossless format that causes far less artifacts then JPG formats, but you still get the occasional off colour artifacts in solid background, especially if your editing or cropping the photo.
In other words, if a PM was going to encode some sort of code by changing pixels to a slightly different colour, he would be better off going much darker than one shade off, to avoid aliasing and artifact problems.
Still, PNG would be the format to use over JPG, but i doubt many people would know that.

ANYWAYS, in my opinion it is HIGHLY unlikely that this is anything more that some random artifacts appearing, but at the same time its not impossible.
It really depends on the amount of compression. Then again, you said the off-white pixels only appeared in a small section of the image?

EDIT: The image was hosted on tinypic, which compresses the image even more. that clinches it for me as being definitely not intentional on the PM's part.
