I doubled the size and sharpened it, but it's not much better.

"a portion of [Annelore Demark?]" and then a phone number?

not that this has anything to do with Red panic? (panda?) or the previous pics but did anyone notice the billboard between 6:30 and 7:12? It was an ad for Oceanic airlines. Homage, or something more?

I do not know how other people think about it ... but I really hate Brute Forcing. The PMs put a lot of time and effort into designing nice and unique puzzles for people who like solving puzzles.
But after the solution is known there is not much fun in solving the puzzle and there is no group effort anymore in doing so. I personally think that exactly this group effort is the most funny part in an ARG.
With all those brute forced solutions I start to loose interest in this ARG.

Of course one could argue that nobody has to read the spoilered solution. But the other puzzles have shown that people will stop working collaboratively on the solution as soon as the solution is posted.

So at least give us "players" a fes days to find the solution in a way that is funny, before posting the brute forced solution.

Agreed..brute force takes the zip out of the whole thing.

I agree with both auz505 & summerfun, but I'm cutting some slack for truthhack, mainly because I run into roadblock after roadblock, and there doesn't appear to be any hints.

I'm still spend time each day trying to figure out how the colors
d86b32 top b2ed92 middle 31bfed bottom 010cf0 middle
e23891 top 187a9f middle 55fcb1 bottom
works out to CHARRED

how
Reykjavik, Moscow, South Sandwich Islands, London, Labasa
works out to EIGHT

and now how that little midi ditty works out to EYE.
it's not morse code (morse code would result in a longer answer).
It's not the different notes (there are more than 2 notes in the tune).
It doesn't appear to be note length converted to 1's & 0's, converted to binary, then ASCII (although the 20 notes I hear is almost enough notes to encode EYE in ascii).

For what it's (not) worth, it also isn't (as far as I have been able to figure out):
The actual note sequence treated as base64 or hex converted to ASCII or base64 or hex,
The drumline or cymbal line converted to morse code (although that solves the problem of it being too long, mostly),
Morse code from the melody translated into a longer synonym of or clue for "eye" (globus, oculus, needle, etc.),
The same thing with the dots and dashes reversed (long note=dot, short note = dash) or either morse code pattern backwards, or
A binary code based on whether the notes move up or down in pitch (plus, I don't know what to do with the few places where the pitch appears to repeat).

My husband was able to take the note lengths and make them morse code and get the word "cracker" by assuming that no spaces between letters are indicated (although there arguably are some spaces in the music), but as the answer was obviously not "cracker," my guess is this is a coincidence.

(edited for typos - jessie)

background photo

Here is a new twist to consider for solving the background photo. The earlier update clips from "Oscar" were designed to help out those that had not yet discovered the link between the Stories From the Mosaic and the "encrypted" file on TH. Lately though, Oscar's messages have started ending with what look to be subtle hints about the endgame perhaps. I've done a few screen grabs with the CC on so I'll just post those for the group to consider. It's as if clip #8 was "talking" to me and others that the photo is not a close-up of a chess piece. My current thinking of a black knight (or if thought of as the subtitle of David S. Goyer's last project he co-wrote called "The Dark Knight") can't be correct if Oscar's message that "objects are not always closer that they appear" is in context to the photo at the TH/E site.

If this material inserted into Oscar's clips are in context with the ARG, then it looks like the artifact seen from space or high altitude concept should be explored more. For me, I just don't see enough similarity with the Richat structure but that might be the correct way to the solution. The message from clip #9 hints that we might find it close to Mt. Everest, as sherpas and possibly "truth mtn." might be connected to it. I'm pouring over aerial shots and others of the Himalayas.

I'd also keep in mind though that the photo SHOULD be in context with the series it is made for, and I don't mean the cause of the GBO they'll reveal through the mythology later. It should be something that is up toward the GBO event and perhaps on the Mosaic wall as evidence. Yeah, like my chess piece theory, but which does not conflict with Oscar's hint.

Here is something I've found. The Hogle Zoo in SALT LAKE CITY UTAH has Red Pandas. A connection to Oscar's comment regarding Sherpas and "Truth Mountain" makes sense when you consider that the range area of the Red Panda is from the Himalayas to Southern China. "Himalayas" being the appropriate keyword here. Idea

ocenic

Cool
There is an Ocenic ad board on the sideways shot of Beneford's car..sorry I don't have a photo capture device. Also in that scene Beneford is holding a paper and on the back page you can see the word "timeless".
Something to think about I suppose.

Did anyone make any progresss with the notes or colors?

No more progress on the charred one, and I want to know that one, darn it. Here is the Lost EE in the FF pilot. It's from Spoiler TV.

TruthHack video Edition #10- Sensitive Information

TruthHack video Edition #10- Sensitive Information is up for viewing. This adds even more to this ARG. Another layer. Gee, and I thought we were about at the endgame. Wink

TH Edition #10

Besides the revelation that we are not at the end of the trail, Oscar also continues what I now feel very confident of that we need to concentrate in the Himalayas for the photo ident solution. As he (once again) ends his message with a cryptic hint. Switchbacks are of course in this context hairpin trails up a steep mountain.
