Well if you help me keep track I'll help you, since I'm playing those as well.

Loving it. I think I'm getting in over my head, but I don't even care. LOL. I just hope I can be a valuable contributor to all of this.

There are several updates on Twitter...all responses to people's questions/comments, includiing this response to a question I asked about her research:

Quote:
@sheridan43 My research has come to a temporary standstill, but my resolve remains. I welcome collaboration if you have any special insight.

Yay for being asked to collaborate! Anyone have any thoughts? I'm going to see what I can find to share with her...AND ask exactly what the samples were that were dropped.[/quote]

She sent me a direct message on Twitter asking why I am so interested in helping her. She seemed suspicious of my eagerness to assist, so I responded back and told her I am personally motivated...I, too, and getting older and don't like it one bit.

Earlier, I offered some scientific research that didn't seem to impress her, so I think she is definitely leaning towards something less traditional....ala Elizabeth Bathory....which is why I wanted to make it clear that I am down for whatever she has in mind.

Surely unrelated (but the dates are right)

From the Time Magazine archive:

Sir: Richard Nixon was right in rebuking Rockefeller for trying to divide the G.O.P. and in praising Scranton for preaching unity. Scarcely 24 hours after Goldwater's defeat, Rockefeller zeroed in on him with cleated boots. It takes no courage to kick a man when he is down, while his wounds are still raw and bleeding. Rockefeller seems to be a compulsive wrecker, whether it is a home or a party.

I-W Review 2 - PLEASURES OF THE DAMNED (1979 ???)

When a group of Satan worshiping bikers seek out a book holding the secrets of eternal life, they accidentally resurrect an ancient evil in the woods that manifests itself in the zombified forms of cult members that killed themselves in the same woods some 200 years ago. Private Investigator, Jack Steele, while on a mission to help rescue Evelyn Crane's brother Tommy from the hands of the bikers, gets entangled in the situation, and may be the only one that can lay the curse to rest for good.

Evelyn alerted me that she has had an anonymous reply to her last blog post. Things could be getting interesting....

I guess that rude reporter got what was coming to him, huh?

The Universal Palace Theater has a long history of unexplained tragedy. Surely you are not implying that I could be responsible for events that date back further than my film career? I was not even aware that this man had something terrible befall him until you so rudely intruded on my journal.

And it seems she has decided to trust me. She says she is pleased to have a kindred spirit.

Email from Silver Crypt:
Quote:
Dear Louis,

Thank you for your interest in our films! We're in the process of trying to get some DVD releases together, and have been working on tracking down the best possible copies of each. Unfortunately, this isn't as easy a prospect as it sounds. Most of our films fell out of copyright, and the original work and master prints simply disappeared.

As bad as it sounds, we've had to resort to the few VHS releases that we put out in the 80's. Worse still, we've used some bootleg DVD copies that our fans circulate at horror conventions. The best luck we've had is managing to find some of our reels in the storerooms of some old theaters. Figuring out where our films played, especially when a number of the founders of the studio have passed on, forgotten, or simply gone senile, is not an easy task.

If you have any particular film of ours you'd like to see on DVD, just let us know!

Best Regards,

Silver Crypt Studios

Any suggestions?

Well, it seems to me like we need to ask her the name of her last film and then ask for that one. It was the premiere for that movie that drove her out of the business AND in that theater where the reporter was found murdered.

Other than it, she hasn't really said anything about specific movies that she has been in....

In other news, she and I continued our conversation by Twitter last night. She wanted to be sure I didn't believe she would kill this reporter. I assured her that I could care less...I am more concerned about continuing her research. I finally got her to tell me about the samples that she dropped:

Quote:
Just a serum that has eluded me for many years. A balm created based on the difference in quality between aged and youthful skins

Sounds like it could get gruesome....considering her admiration of Countess Bathory.

A little searching and I found the Universal Palace Theater
http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/

Looks like this is part of backstory for Universal Orlandos Halloween
Horror Nights. If you check out the theater on the site the
upper left window in the lobby links to some history of mysterious tragedies that have happened there. It includes several newspaper clippings - the one about the theater being used as a morgue has a bit about Evelyns "retirement" underneath.
