more attempts <Satanis7> The edited version does sound like reuse this mess to send chanted lines.

We use this mess to send chanted lines.
This mess -- The series of numbers?
Chanted lines -- poems?

This is the edited version I did which is referred to above. Definitely sounds like reuse to me.

Ok, I don't know if this will do any good, but I rearranged the numbers a like so:
00
555
666
33333
44444
77777
88888
22222222
1111111111
999999999999
It seems odd to me that there would be 6 times as many 9's as there are 0's if it were random (or highly compressed). If this was a message using the letters that correspond to numbers on the phone, then it would have to be a cryptogram too because 9 = WXYZ, and it's not very likely to be used that much. So, I'd pretty much rule that out also.
The pauses may or may not have meaning. I don't think we'll know until it's solved.
Have there been any new thoughts on the capital letters from the email? Are they just there to make a long list? We got to the next "step", phonemessage, so maybe they're nothing? I'm not so sure.

A friend suggested to me that 'mess' might be short for message...that is the phonemessage.
So it could be: We use this mess(age) to send chanted lines. The numbers would then be some sort of poem, or could be constructed as a poem somehow.

numbers to poem? In an earlier post pixiestix put up sound files of the tones in separate groupings. I'm supposing this accounts for the pauses in the original. So I used that post to separate the numbers in the same groups to the end of it looking like a poem:
122110693942
7352912469
899161279
8397170431
8592749415
9828139
I have no idea what the numbers can be translated to. Just wanted to preserve the aspect in case it jogged someone's imagination.

enaxor and I broke this one...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you do a Select all (or look in the source) on the phonemessage.html page, you'll see "madness" on the right, half way down.
I scratched my head (and was trying madness.html) while enaxor said maybe there's a poem called madness by Dickinson, which led us to:
Emily Dickinson - Much Madness is divinest Sense
Much Madness is divinest Sense --
To a discerning Eye --
Much Sense -- the starkest Madness --
'Tis the Majority
In this, as All, prevail --
Assent -- and you are sane --
Demur -- you're straightway dangerous --
And handled with a Chain --
Count letters as dictated by the phone tones gives (I added spaces for clarity):
its all true i have evidence i think they know
huge kudos to enaxor for connecting the Madness poem!!! and to dashcat for identifying the Emily Dickinson image.
(I'm kinda sure the "madness" wasn't there before though) I was specing to enaxor before the solve that the voice in the phonemessage was saying something with syllables scrambled. Now that I listen to it again, it might be saying the first line of the madness poem with syllables scrambled...
EDIT:- enaxor had the source of phonemessage.html saved from yesterday and she confirmed that the "madness" was definitely not there

Well done! I'm kinda surprised this puzzle is so short though- the other one was 5 or 6 pages long.

Ah, good solve. I knew it said "Muses miss disenchanted vines." Guess we were supposed to anagram it.

put on your red shoes and dance the blues Fantastic solve everyone, but unless there is something else hidden in here it is useless.
JC really needs to give us something we can sink our teeth into. We already know that he claims to have some type of proof and that someone has been threatening him. According to dreadhouse.com he already tried posting his proof and tomorrow's talk lawyers have shut him down.
C'mon JC, give us the goods!

Nice job.
A little anti-climactic, though. What is this - like the 3rd message from him that says what he knows is true?
Now what? Do we email jc?

Nice solve!
I worked on this one all day and tried area codes, numerology, Dickinson poems. I wish I could say I'm great at solving codes, but I would be lying.

I don't believe that this was JC saying "he" has the proof - this is supposed to be a message left on JC's answering machine isn't it, so this is someone else telling JC that they have the proof and it's all true.
