So where to begin? You may have seen that I picked up the trail of the Linian bloodline while I was in Halifax. Not sure where Bjorn went next, but I hope to dive back into this line of inquiry soon. But for now, I think we have more pressing matters to attend to.

I mentioned some time ago that Lyman has been receiving strange messages, some of them threatening. After hearing Norene's tape (or what was left of it) I think we'd better take this pretty seriously, make it a priority.

I noticed that Lyman posted some footage from our April event on the SfLS website. There's more to that story, and I think it might be our first lead. More to come on this.

We'll need to get as much information as possible from Lyman. I'm sure he'll want to be as discreet as possible.

Thanks for being patient while I got things together. I hope you guys are still up for this. Send me a sign if you're out there.

Here's hoping this picks up steam again. What's the best way to get in touch with Lyman?

 		Relatively new to the forums, so this is the first I've seen of this ARG -- wow! This is massive and terribly complicated.... count me in! Very Happy

I'll be going back through a lot of this when I have more time (read: when not at work!), but I thought I'd throw this out there: I'm sure there are plenty like me who would love to help out with this one, but maybe a quick review is in order? If someone has a second and wants to recap the currently key characters and/or the websites that are still involved and/or any known puzzles still unsolved, I'd be very appreciative... Smile I know there's a ton here, and I definitely don't expect a wiki, but any quick reviews anyone can give would be great!!

At any rate, I will definitely be lurking and trying to catch up!

 		Fritz has updated his blog a couple of time the last few days. The Sept. 30 post shows 3 videos taken during Lyman's lecture back in April, where he was interrupted by two associates of BSAI. Heads up; the videos did not show up in IE, I had to use Firefox to see them.

 		Update at rootsofatree: enaxor(who found all of this info.) found a character named Lucy Bastiana on twitter who only follows Lyman. Digging deeper, there is a new member in the Benjamin Smyth green group named Bastiana Marquez. They are probably one and the same. Lucy Bastiana has a blog at http://www.lucybastiana.com/. Also, the heckler is probably Dr. Branford Littleton. I have yet to browse Lucy's blog.

 		Blogging from the Bottom of the World
Lucy's blog is all about her landing a job with the BSAI and spending months on end performing experiments in their base at the antartic. It goes back to January of this year and the last entry was just last week (I think). Once again, I'm impressed by the level of detail and effort that has gone into all of this.

The video entries are interesting, but nothing jumps out as an obvious clue or problem to solve. I registered for a username.

 		NIce find Farlad! I didn't even think to look for a blog. There's one entry here, where she talks about making another section of her website for technical stuff that her mother wouldn't be interested in. I haven't had any luck finding anything though. I sent the link to Lyman through Facebook, but so far he hasn't responded.

Dr. Littleton has a very high opinion of himself. Just one example:

Lucy got Wayne Moon's orientation file and found access codes issued in 04, she then hacked his computer, found a PW protected file [stored on a remote server?] ...and also found a Linian Exhibit Pamphlet in his office. He had Lyman's name circled, she googled and found Lyman's Twitter and started following it. She's wondering how Wayne came into possession of the pamphlet because it was in April [after the sun had already gone down]... likely one of his disappearances. She also found some mnemonic constructs...

And it sounds like she's losing it...

Great job, Caterpiller!

I just got through all of the hidden files...

Today there is a new public one! Seems like Lucy might have figured out that Jared's PW has been cracked since she references it. Boy does she seem pissed!

I wanted to note that Jared also has his timezone listed as -0600, but we don't know when and if he changed that.

I thought the title of the last video was interesting - N B ... Norene Byrnes? Could that be a clue to Wayne's password (we don't know if she ever figured it out).

Everyone has done such a great job - I keep looking and looking, but so far haven't come up with anything solid.

Anyone here good with linguistics? If there is anything that Lucy has said that may be relevant, could someone post a translation?

I hope that nothing happens to Lucy and they try to pin it on suicide (using the blog as evidence)!!

Has anyone figured out the relationships between Lucy and her friends? Is Lizzie her sister, or just a close family friend (or step-sister? I was surprised when it was revealed that Lucy's father had died, because I thought I heard her say something to him in an earlier - non-private - video. Maybe it was a R.I.P. thing. Matt is in southern Michigan (or Indiana?), and has never been to Rio ;>. Jared was an Intern somewhere with Lucy...

Meanwhile, I don't see any leads on Ben Macker... however, did people notice that he actually has two blogs? The long one, and a short one that he abandoned at http://bennamaker.blogspot.com/. I don't know why he'd change the name and then leave that old one up... hmmm. Dunno

One last thing: speaking of Ben (whose ship btw has the same name as Cognomi's), was last seen checking out a BSAI office about a job, who is connected to Rand (via the pocket-knife), who is also in Antarctica (we think) but in some weird time continuum thing (phew!) made me think about all of the comments in Lucy's blog where Jared talks about how everyone else sees the entries first, then Matt says we must be typing at the same time to Jared. (Sorry, that was a mess!) Anyway, is it possible that Jared is somehow connected to the whole Linian thing? Could he be involved with the weird time technology?He is also a scientist (he and Lucy were Interns together somewhere) - maybe Lucy found something else (something in Moon's files?) that is what is making her angry - not the sudden logins to Jared's account? (Maybe she found out that he knew more about all of this than he ever told her?) For that matter, could Moon's "disappearances" be linked to the "caves"? I wish we could figure out her "friends" last names (I looked up a "Lizzie Marquez" to no avail). Sorry for the rant, but I thought if I put it up it might trigger some ideas for someone else.

I love this ARG! (I also love all of you brilliant people who are figuring it out! Cool )
