Also, someone at movieviral.com stated that Bioshock 2 did the same type thing, and hid bottles with messages and other trinkets in them.

in my opinion, it is doubtful that to me that

A} payphones are going to be ringing in a single location for 4 hours - not only would that be expenisve even for sony, but i'm sure many gas station people would simply take the phone off the hook and Sony probably realizes that.

B} there will be a hired contact at each location - not impossibly, but i just doubt it. UNLESS it is actually a hired person in each "metro area", and maybe each of those people slowly hits each of the contact locations.

I'm really getting excited about tomorrow - not knowing {while annoyed me earlier} is making me more and more intrigued. Maybe it is a poster, maybe we have to answer a phone, maybe we will all be arrested for swarming gas stations.... ADVENTURE AHEAD!!!

Good observation on the Shell Stations. I'm pulling up the ones in Atlanta and from what I can tell they are all Shell stations.

So picture this - Sony has a marketing deal with Shell and they put up advertisements at the gas stations. There are some clues on the signs... the only thing that doesn't make sense with that is the limited time of day, but maybe the signs have a phone number and if you call it during that time of day then you get to hear a message. Just speculation but something to be on the lookout for.

I don't think we'll be getting the actual packet yet... just information on how to get it in 2 days from Saturday or 1 day from Sunday, or 2 days from Monday and 1 day from Tuesday, so basically we'll get details on how to get the packet on Monday and there will be another chance or another packet on Wednesday. I imagine one location per metro area for getting the packet. Probably a comic book store as that is where the Theorist received a package.

Yes, but we are keeping it secret. But just from you. Rolling Eyes

I know Rowan is at one, and I'm at one. Nothing has happened yet, gas station attendant knows of nothing. No phones ringing. No posters. No people hanging out. Nada. 2 more hours to go...

wow so you are really waiting at a gas station for four hours. WOW, I also haven't seen any tweets from people looking for these things.

the question is why in Phoenix, am I getting a location for California, I would think it would give me a AZ location. But I hope others post their adresses, like California got notified of an AZ location. I plan on going to the same gas station tomorrow from 3-6 and see what happens.

Well the address you posted is a comic book store. Meltdown Comics to be exact. A comic book store would seem a likely place for a "party"

More wild ass spec (but we saw how successful my first one was Very Happy) - hopefully we're getting dates/times/locations for *other* areas and we have to share to succeed...

::: crossing fingers :::

I'll know more in about 15 minutes, heading out to my first location soon, then hitting a second location around 10AM PST.

DJ... how long did you have to wait before the message appeared? I'm running on a pretty tight schedule...

I only had to wait about 10 minutes, it was really quick and played for 15 minutes straight and was still playing when I left.
