I've been following this thread and the one on SA, and i was just recently reading about the "Just another fool" scenario.
Anyway, it occured to me that maybe the "Matt" that went insane was actually the Alex from Marble Hornets, but had just changed his name when he moved away?

Did anyone else notice "Marble Hornets" can be rearranged to spell "Hamlet's Reborn"? Maybe the Slender Man is Alex's dad's ghost urging him to kill Alex's uncle who has married Alex's mom.

So, this is my first post on this forum, but I've been following the thread here and I was around on SA when J started posting the videos. I've seen the topic approached a little before, but not in great depth...

If we accept that totheark is posting "missing audio" from previous Entries, as seems to be the current theory, and as Grooze's videos seem to strongly suggest, I think it bears pondering just exactly how totheark got the audio in the first place?

To me, there are two primary possibilities...

1) totheark possessed the original tapes, removed the audio himself, and later did things to them, as yet undetermined, to fit his own ends. This strongly suggests the Alex = totheark theory, as it's simplest to reason that he did it all himself, before J got them, and has been waiting for this to happen.

2) A third party was present during some of these encounters, recording things on his own. To me this is a shaky possibility at best, because the nature and source of the "missing audio" Grooze is mashing up with Entry 1 appears to be Alex breathing heavily. But, take into consideration that the response to Entry 13 very clearly is from a second vantage point, filming J, something he's said he doesn't remember.

I don't know, it might not be anything, but, to me, when totheark says "listen closely" he doesn't have to mean listen harder just listen carefully.

It coooouuuuuld... It's more likely that J is running both the Blog and the MH as seperate ARGs than as a linked ARG, because he probably would have mentioned another missing friend and the notebook on his tweets.

It's more likely that he has nothing to do with JAF.

And I know this is obvious, but maybe the reason we cant find Kralie in the white pages is because it is a simple combination of Ark and Lie and there is nothing else to it?

I think Brian is a significant player in all these.

We're given no time frame to his disappearance. At the same time as Alex? After? He also says that all the info he got on Alex was through Brian, and that they were friends.

Well, Alex never made a mention of dead animals on his lawn. I mean, that would be a worthy mention in one of the entries: "Woke up this morning, mutilated cats on the lawn. lolwut?"

I think it was a lie- Tim was pretty vague about it, which holds the essence of a lie. Which means someone lied, either Brian or Alex.

Alex and Brian were friends, right? I seriously doubt that Alex would've kept all this to himself- he had to have confided into someone. That could've been Brian. Brian thought he was nuts, so when people start questioning him as to why Alex is being such a dick, Brian passes it off as dead animals on his lawn.

I don't know. This is all speculation, obviously, but I have a feeling that totheark is Brian. I think at some he got involved with this whole mess, but wasn't affected as much/in the same way as Alex.
