[E-Mail] Charles and CMH infrasound

Dear sir:

I continue to read about the hospital with increasing interest. Thank
you for all the information that you've provided about the site.

There's something about the hospital's construction that occurred to
me recently while reading some of the early stories of the workers'
claims that they noted strange sites and sounds. If you don't mind,
I'd like your thoughts on my long-distance speculation.

It's been discovered in the past that certain serendipitous
construction sites can generate infrasound - a low frequency and very
disturbing resonance that can irritate or even damage those who are
exposed to it for significant periods. One of the characteristics of
infrasound is the presence of resonant chambers - like the steam
tunnels at Cambridge Mental Hospital.

It can't help but make one wonder if the complaints of the
construction workers, and perhaps some of the symptoms of the
inpatients there, weren't created or exacerbated by the presence of
unrecognized infrasound.

This would be a very important discovery, and would likely turn
significant attention to the hospital - especially to preserve it so
that it could be studied and understood better for its architectural
uniqueness.

Would you be willing to pursue this further? Has this been previously
considered and evaluated? I find it to be a fascinating possibility.

Sincerely,

If I get a response, I'll edit it in or post it.

His reply, which seems a foot in the door:

Dear Mr. Max,

I must say I find your theory quite intriguing, and I suppose quite
entirely possible if your premise is based in truth. I can tell you
with certainty that there is quite a labyrinth beneath Cambridge, some
of it even unmarked.

Although I am far from a scientist, and only slightly understand what
you are suggesting, I must point out to you that most of the people you
propose to have been affected are long since deceased. How would one
prove something like this "infrasound" caused irritation or damage to
those people so very long ago?

There has been an ongoing demolition of buildings, and I'm sorry to say
that no one holding the power or ability to save Cambridge, really
wants to see it preserved. Maybe we could have used this a few years
back, but I'm afraid it's a bit late to save a hospital who is, quite
honestly, in her death throes.

I saw this coming, Mr. Max, saw it coming a mile off.......the world
wide web was my only saving grace, and hers too.

Charles

Unmarked labyrinth? Needs to be explored by someone in-game?

Possible tack: some in-game politico needs to be petitioned to save the hospital? we're nowhere near that, yet.

That's good - if we can find out who would have the power to "save" the hospital, that person is all but certain to know if Tomorrows Talk ever sought permission to use the Hospital for filming Dreadhouse.

If they didn't, it would certainly explain why no-one - particuarly Charles - had ever heard of the show. If they did, it's a definite link to the "show that never happened" which gives us some leverage against TT. Otherwise, it means would mean the shooting was done without permission, and most likely on the quiet. It would also explain how and why TT were able to silence it so completely - they really were never officially there.
