I think he might mean Apollo Square, which was mostly destroyed during the civil war.

new message. Comedy is refusing to help Mark because of the state Celeste is in. Poor Mark is running out of support, and fast.

Not while we're still around!
... Sorry, couldn't help myself. But in all seriousness, I wonder what would happen if we just sent in letters of encouragement?
Also, I should probably get around to writing Mark a letter. :\
And really, Dash Carmady? "I'm QUITTING you"? Really?
[/irrelevant mess]

I don't know when this appeared, on the site, but there's a paper from Carmady to Celeste on the floor (near the RKQ medical file) that lists RKQ/OOL's NYC properties. It would seem the basement lab was in a building that belonged to Andrew Ryan.

not just a letter, but a whole crate full of stuff from rapture on the floor with a Scarlet Sovereign logo on it.

There is also a letter from Mark on top of the 1st Lutwidge recording indicating that he found the basement. It was one of Ryan's buildings.

He was able to get in, found some notes and also found the box with party masks. He will be returning the same evening to go claim more.

Update - Mark made his way back with some Masquerade masks - some nitro splicer and spider splicer preferences for sure. Very cool.

Guess it is definitely obvious Lutwidge has been to rapture. "Stained and bloody"..... maybe these are trophies of his kills lol

I'm probably being overly paranoid but:
1. It doesn't sound like a slip to me. It's too obvious and different.
2. I went back and listened to her earlier messages and she sounds different now. Like a different person. (Maybe they got anew voice actor, tho...)

If I'm reading the latest letter from mark right, I think we might be getting a new package in the mail...if it is what I think it is, and if it comes before the end of the month, I know what I'm going for Halloween as!

i might have missed someone mention this but there's a letter on the desk from Mark to N.U.F.O.S. saying he's sending him an item he found in the basement he just went to. i guess he's gonna send a mask?

also all the 'fan letters' on the wall are gone right now. i think i should write him something...

Not a Mask

Is everybody sure he sent Isodore's friend a mask. We know he has a crate of masks. If he was sending a mask, he would have said mask. The letter was actually written by the architects of TSitS. They said nothing of a mask on purpose. He found something else. Another puzzle, eve hypo, vial of adam, plasmid container, etc. Something from Rapture he has never seen before. If he said what it was/looked like it would ruin the suprise for a future update. Wonder what it is.

I had a thought, what if Lutwidge is the character in the multiplayer trailer for Bioshock 2? The character in it kind of looks like him, and even if you don't play as him, maybe the letters and updates etc. that you recieve in the multiplayer will be extentions of what happened to Lutwidge whilst he was in Rapture. It could be very good way of interweaving the multiplayer and single player, if Mark is relevant to the single player which I think we all hope he is.

Sadly, I've noticed that events in marketing-ARGs are rarely if ever relevant to the story in the actual work... Sad

People on the 2k forums say they have received masks. Several people recieved telegrams yesterday saying to await a package, three of those people have received masks.

Got a mask!

Saturday night a guy dressed up as a messenger gave my boyfriend an envelope with a telegram - telling us to wait for a package.
Today (around an hour ago) the same dude dropped off a package with a mask and a letter in it:

Dear Friend:
Phil Isidore (of N.U.F.O.S) has vouched that you are a trustworthy individual. Please - closely guard the contents of this package. I have sent it direct via courier out of concern that gov't personnel or unknown individuals may attempt to intercept it.
As you may know, I have been investigation anomalous phenomena related to the disappearance of my daughter. In the past, you've provided information that has helped my research. Now I need your input on a matter of utmost urgency.
I discovered the enclosed item in a basement workshop owned by Orrin Oscar Lutwidge. I'm desperately trying to uncover more regarding its origin, manufacture, etc. Please examine it and let me know what you make of it.
any information could help me find my daughter.
Thanks,
Mark Meltzer
