Right. I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, just trying to play devil's advocate to the "alex is totheark" camp. I'm not saying he isn't, I'm not saying Brian is, just that my speculation is that unless there is some unnamed player serving a major role in MH that J. hasn't introduced us to, I think it's likely that we may already know who totheark is.

Probably, since I don't think J will introduce any new characters this far in. totheark is almost definitely someone we already know. Could be Alex, Brian, Sarah, Tim, even J himself, or the Slenderman. Let's hope J or totheark post a new video soon. It's very boring waiting for them tbh.

Agreed. I think we've met everybody involved at this point. I'm still highly skeptical of the SM-posting theory though. SM using social networking...I dunno, makes it less ominous. I'm definitely eager for a new post, either way.

I'm honestly up for the idea that totheark is Brian. Exit's subtitles say "Remember me", implying someone who hadn't been major up to that point. Brian seems like he may have been a big deal after 15.

Of course, we need more information. On anything, really. I feel like pretty much everything else has been beaten to death at this point.

Picture this; after a long day at work abducting kids, Slenderman returns to his humble home, puts on his bathrobe and makes a cup of tea, then sits down in front of his computer to post youtube videos and check twitter accounts for new interesting comments.

I think SM might moonlight as one of The Gentlemen from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

More like just copying, but thanks for the advice.

I'm sorry I didn't bother looking up where I saw it and attributing it to its original author.

Whatever though, we're getting off-topic.

SlenderMan MIGHT be the poster, you can't rule that out yet. It does seem unlikely, but it's a possibility. Does anyone think that J might be running out of steam?

I can see only 2 possibilities now. He's either planted a magnificent non sequitur and laughing his head off or this will really go places. In both cases he deserves a chest of medals for planning and execution. The totheark element is incredibly well done.

Yea, that's one possibility I was considering. I mean, it'd be pretty easy to pull off. Never touch any of this ever again, oh no, Slender Man got J! The horror, the horror, etc.

And I really can't buy into the idea of SM being totheark. Of course, from a logical standpoint, nothing about totheark really makes any sense, so I guess it could be plausible.

But, I like to think of SM as otherwordly and alien. Not, y'know, stopping by Office Depot to buy a netbook.

Haha, yeah. Most plausible posters I think would be Alex, then Brian, then J (in order of likeability).

EDIT:

In entry #5: "Alex: Alright. This is going to be near Sarah's hunting camp."

Sarah's a hunter. Someone's been leaving dead animals on Alex's property, and not just cats or dogs. I believe Sarah has a link with this. Might she be totheark?

on a new note, does anyone in here watch the show Fringe?

more specifically the "inner child" episode, in which a child is found living in a sewer and is later identified as an empath. more importantly, the end of the episode concludes with an abnormally tall and quiet man who just stares at the child as they drive by. he begins making appearances throughout Fringe episodes just standing at distances and staring.

they even went as far as to advertise on other shows like American Idol by putting him in the audience and giving him a split second of camera time, just staring.

me and a friend noticed the similarity the other day, and i just couldn't keep it to myself. but the idea of SM possibly being an empath? interesting.

ALSO: major thanks to Dav for the youtube posting of Matt's notebook. i await new scans or pictures to compare to the original book's pictures.

I think that the hunting camp may be for the movie, not because Sarah's a hunter.

And really, all that would do is feed fire to the prank idea >_>

Anyway, what's an empath? Care to explain? Who knows, this might just end up being a plug for Fringe. That'd be mighty hilarious.

Quick google suggests that an empath is someone who can take emotions from those around then. http://www.psi-zone.net/aboutme/empath.htm

Agreed. I honestly don't think this is for ANYTHING else, other than an ARG. Cool
