[PUZZLE - SOLVED] OMM CALIBRATION INTERFACE

OMM Calibration Interface is now accessible! Smile

I am in there, you get in the same way as the PB848 Fabrication and the Sedation Plants.

OMM asks you questions, which you must answer.

I have been answering OMM's questions and getting back 3 different responses, they are

OMM HAS BEEN CALIBRATED TO NORMAL LEVEL.

OMM HAS BEEN CALIBRATED TO EXCELLENT LEVEL.

OMM HAS BEEN CALIBRATED TO OPTIMUM LEVEL.

So I suppose we must have to confuse him with our answers, I have tried many different answers, still seeing if I can break him.

Anyone else here willing to have a go?

I think this works exactly as the PILL fab - each answer worth some points and at the end they add up to produce excellent/optimum etc...

I don't think we can go through all of the combos here since it's like 5^10 different responses, so we have to try to find what each answer in each question is "worth".

Yes I think you are right here.

I have already tried many different combinations. It's finding the one that will crack OMM. Rolling Eyes

I've been doing this trying to keep track of what I was answering, but at one point I got frustrated and just clicked the top answer in rapid succesion. and I got "undefined" for the output.
I'm not sure I did something or not

Hi Kenbo,

I reckon you have done something.

If this part works the same as the others, then you will now be locked out of the game, try again and see what you get.

Im still getting one of the three standard responces since then. I'm thinking it may have been an unintentional error on the page.

Eye Mouseover

Hello all, this is my first post, but I've been lurking for a bit.

Pardon me if this has been mentioned, but I haven't seen it anywhere on the forum yet. In the omm configuration, when I mouse over the right eye, a blank box appears underneath the answer section of the questions. Not sure what it is yet, but I'll keep playing around with it.

disappearing answers

don't know if this is of any consequence, but here is some more weirdness with the omm config control:

when goofing around and randomly clicking on the text with the answers, the correct(?) answers would disappear, on all except for input 9. here are the answers that disappeared:

note: i've also just noticed that double clicking on certain words in the answers is what causes them to disappear. those words are capitalized below in the inputs

OMM ASKS, "WHY DO YOU FEEL GOOD?"
input 0:
"i do not feel GOOD"

OMM ASKS, "I HAVE MADE YOUR LIFE BETTER BY ELIMINATING WHAT?"
input 1:
"CONFUSION"

OMM ASKS, "YOU HAVE MY PROMISE THAT I WILL NEVER . . . ?"
input 2:
"lose CONTROL"

OMM ASKS, "HOW OFTEN DO YOU INGEST YOUR MEDICATION?
input 3:
"exactly as DICTATED"

OMM ASKS, "WHAT DO THE MASSES SAY I AM?"
input 4:
"INFALLIBLE"

OMM ASKS, "WHAT DO THE MASSES SAY I AM?"
input 5:
"DOERS"

OMM DEMANDS, "TO WHOM DO YOU OWE ALL?"
input 6:
"CONTROL"

OMM NOW SEEKS YOUR PRAISE.
input 7:
"perfection is OMM"

OMM SEEKS YOUR AGREEMENT, "I PROVIDE EQUALLY TO ALL."
input 8:
"whatever omm says is TRUTH"

OMM REQUESTS YOUR OPINION, "WHO OR WHAT IS THE SCOURGE OF SOCIETY??"
input 9:
??????

this always leads to the OPTIMUM result. Any thoughts?

My thought was that once you dblclk to make the answere dissapear you could then use that box that appears when mousing over the eye to put in your own answer. but I can't make that work. You can't seem to do anything with that box.

This is well weird!! Rolling Eyes

The Box must have some significence, I am sure there must be a way to add words in there, but I can't seem to figure out how.

HA!

I got "SUBNORMAL"!

Answers:

OMM SEES THAT ALL MY NEEDS ARE MET
FREE THOUGHT
RIDICULE, TORMENT OR CAUSE PAIN
AS OFTEN AS NEEDED
THE ALL-KNOWING OMM
HANDS
THE UNIFORMITY OF OMM
THE BREATH OF OMM IS INFINITELY SLOW, YET HE BREATHES
IT IS SO
UNIQUENESS

Didn't seem to do anything special, though.

I just did a test by feeding OMM with the same answers as you did, and I got "SUBNORMAL" as well.

We must be missing something here somewhere.

Well, for what it's worth, selecting the first response straight through nets Excellent. Second also nets Excellent. Third straight through or fourth straight through nets Normal. Fifth also nets Excellent. OTOH, flipping back and forth between first and second is Normal, and flipping back and forth between third and fourth is Excellent.

Weeeeeeeird. I assume we want Subnormal or something worse, but. o.O

GOT IT!

"ANOMOLOUS!" Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OMM SEES THAT ALL MY NEEDS ARE MET
WILL
FALL
AT LEAST TWICE A DAY
THE ALL-KNOWING OMM
HANDS
OF NO ONE OTHER THAN OMM
THE BREATH OF OMM IS INFINITELY SLOW, YET HE BREATHES
TRUE
THINKERS

(this is as VJO0994 - if you roll your mouse over OMM's right eye, you'll see the ID)

Edit: We tried the same combo with our other ID NOK1124 and that one is on the list, too. Perhaps everyone needs to put in the same combination to bring it down? Twisted Evil

Edit #2: Thanks to Bluefire for the tip on the flash decompiler. Got us moving in the right direction.
