How do you find out what your number is? I've been looking through the menus and haven't found it.

Maybe try calling another phone you have that has caller ID on it? You don't have to answer the call so you shouldn't waste any minutes.

*smacks head against desk* Why didn't I even THINK of that...

It worked, obviously. I noticed that the last 4 digits of my number are written on the envelope that I got from the drop. Makes sense - that way they know which phones they should keep active.

I may have gotten a wrong number, or i may have gotten a real call. The call came at about 6:30 on friday. {i don't know where I was, other than I was in the house and didn't hear the phone ring} I assumed we wouldn't be getting any calls until all the drops were done... Here's the problem, Do i use minutes to set up my voicemail? BECAUSE i can't seem to get to the voice mail unless i do that and so i freaked and hung up incase i was wasting minutes....

I got a call from a number that ended with "9560" i won't post the rest here {incase it was just a wrong number} that i looked up and it is from Biloxi, MS . I tried calling it with my actual phone, which in hindsite is rather crappy of me at almost midnight, i kept getting a disconnected line noise. meh.

Would anyone be able to pick up an extra packet for an Arizona guy. We were one of the 15 cities for the gas station info. but it looks like we won't be getting a drop or book signing?

You may be able to setup your voicemail without using the phone. On mine, there's a menu item that shows the number for the voicemail box. It's under Contacts, Settings, Voice mailbox number. Call it from a regular phone. It allows you to enter your mobile number. Don't know if you can do anything other than listen to messages, but might be worth a shot.

guys, stop asking for extra swag. It is rude, it is annoying

as players, it is highly doubtful we will be allowed to take additional packages {especially with free phones in them}. No one is going to be giving up their phones before the game is complete {and on the rare case someone might be able to get an extra package, you may not get it before the call comes anyway}. If you really need a usb stick they are pretty cheap. Everything else is here on the forums - if you need hard copies of the plans, you can print them out.

For me, the purpose of a drop like this is the experience of getting it. The phone will basically be useless to me after the fact {but i will keep it for emergency purposes} and while i'm glad to have the usb stick, again, they are fairly inexpensive for about 2 gigs.

As I have told movielord before - those of us who go and get swag often don't want to give it away, or we often donate it to auctions to help fund unfiction and/or argfest. So yeah, unless someone happens to say hey guys, i'm not going to want my swag, pm me if you want it" then please, STOP ASKING. thanks...

wow, a simple stop would have been nice, but you kind of threw those who asked, which was only I and Movielord under the bus. WOW! is all I have to say. The reason why I asked is that I would like to participate along with those who had gotten a package. What you SHOULD have said that was RUDE and ANNOYING was that 15 cities were given instructions to show up to a gas station to get a location to a drop. ONLY to find out that 8 of those cities will NOT be getting a drop. So in other words get tons of people together for a party that only 5% can attend. I do not think that it is rude at all to request a package at all. I was able to have a friend in Florida send me one of the Frenzied waters drops. See I collect these Items, and for one think that your statement was way out of line.

Pixie is 100%right. You are being rude and annoying for asking for swag. I was unable to get phones in the TDK game. Sorry guys. Shut up and deal.

Okay, the claws have come out and you two just to need to chill. NO more rude and annoying from either of you.

I for one was not asking for just swag my friend, What I was asking for is anyone who gets a spare or extra package, if they could send it to me so that I could participate and help out any way I could. Plus I said I collect it. It is fair and honest to help those out whom cannot get drops and would like to help out. Just like I helped FSU robbie get to one of the Deaddrops for Project Abraham. He and I have two of only 20 drops in the world for that ARG. I sent a Joker Phone to someone in an area where the TDK didn't participate much, and they were super thankful I helped them out. It is just fun and helpful to those in need. That is why I asked nicely now isn't it?

Since we're all off topic anyways...

I had an amazing weekend. If you have never been to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, GO! It's the real deal.

Front row seats for the big LSU-Florida game were great.... even got to touch Tebow's hand after the game!!!! and oh yeah... THE GATORS WON! Still #1 Very Happy

ok now that we're done being off topic, I'll be getting back to decoding messages tomorrow... because that's what I LIKE TO DO! I just get the thrill of seeing this game get better and better with each passing day. Swag is nice, but not necessary to enjoy the game!

See you all tomorrow when the SD drop hits.

I happened to be driving past one of my gas stations this morning, so I stopped to view today's message. It does confirm the San Diego info.

Thanks for confirming. I'll pick up the package as soon as they're ready to hand them out =)

And I'll be seeing you there as well! Very Happy

Celina, myself, and a friend of mine have picked up the San Diego drops. I talked to the guy there, and he mentioned that only the first 5 of 10 packages contained phones. So if you're going to the next few drops, you're better off getting there early.

The coded message was an easy solve this time. I'll post it raw here for those who want to work it themselves, then spoiler the answer. The schematic pics are big and my wifi connection is slow... I'll post them later, or let Celina upload them.
