I daresay that the climbing wall has some significance. It's so prominent in that video that it seems like it cannot be there without reason. I have no idea what it could be, though, so I can't really help on that at present.

There was an idea that I had festering in my head for the past couple of days, and I think I'll throw it out there for you to tear apart at will. Okay, we know that there's a significance to the digital medium here. The cameras, the ways digital media are adversely affected by something (not yet going to conclude that the slender man is at fault here, as we've seen him without distorted video and audio,) the theory that there may be some binary sequences written into this, and so forth. That has been established. To take it one step further, I can't help but get the idea that there's something stuck in the digital media. As in, like, a person's soul or some sort of entity trapped within the workings of digital things.

This would go with the oddities that totheark presents us with. First, he has strange ways of typing and encoding messages. He uses spaces with discretion, he uses what looks to be some clues in binary code, and, most of all, when asked if he's human, he replies "no one". As in, no, he's not human, but rather, he's no one, that he doesn't exist, or, maybe, he exists only within digital media.

A good portion of this is guesswork on my part, but it seemed to tie in to too many things to just leave it be at the same time.

No idea if this will be helpful but in the interest of getting more data out I went through entry #5 and wrote down every time the audio or video is distorted. The clip is 3:35 long.

I haven't divined any intrinsic meaning to the numbers, but hopefully they'll be interesting, if only to help guide people to the good bits.

I know I posted this earlier, but then Advocate got posted so maybe people forgot, but since we are talking about Entry 5 what about the grass? Alex mentions how unusual it is that the tall grass surrounding the climbing wall stops abruptly. Could this be a hint of something unnatural?

Anyway, new here, thought I'd sign up since I'm interested in where this story is going. I don't really have anything to add in the way of puzzle solving, but I've been doing a little idle speculation on the nature of the slender man (since I think we're assuming that that's what this thing is.)

All of this talk about Ark and deluge and what have you made me remember a few things that I learnt a couple of years back.

Throughout the bible (old testament) there are various references to giants, things tied in to the existence of a race of possibly supernatural beings called the Nephilim.

The book of Enoch (considered non-canon by modern churches, but not so by early christianity) talks of a group of Angels called the Watchers who decided that they wanted a little bit of action with the daughters of Eve, so they headed down to Earth to fornicate and procreate, creating a race of half human half angels called the Nephilim.

God got kind of angry about all of this, cast the angels into tartarus, and, according to Enoch (who, by the way was, Noah's Grandfather) caused the great flood not to wash away the wickedness of man, but to destroy the Nephilim. However, for some reason or other (mysterious ways) God decreed that 10% of the Nephilim would survive the flood in some way, in order that they may torment humanity as demons.

tl;dr? Ok - In summary - Race of evil giants in the time of Noah, great flood in order to kill them, some survive to this day to screw with humans.

It's probably pretty irrelevant, I just thought that there were quite a few links to what's going on with old Mr Tall'n'thin.

I'm not sure they would take and run with the Nephilim theme as blatantly as that, but I do think that it is a very distinct possibility that there are hidden Bible references that we haven't really gotten around to looking at in-depth. I have seen a few decent possible Bible connections on other sites, and a few in this thread, so maybe that's a new lead.

Yeah, I'm not terribly impressed by TTA's posts myself. They seem to be mostly just a series of puzzles that don't actually lead anywhere. Don't get me wrong, TTA is my second favorite character in the whole thing, next to the slender man, as he's just such a fascinating enigma, but I'm primarily following it because it has a great setup first, and actually manages to give me shivers at times, which, I must say, it quite hard to do. The puzzles to me come second, and I do wish that putting them together actually added up to something besides weird phrases and some nonsense words.

On another tangent, I'm thinking that, if perhaps there is a coherent code in here, we should try reading it backward. As in, the message from Advocate first and those from Regards last. I've tried looking at that stuff, that way, but I haven't gotten anything yet. Maybe I'm looking at the really obvious things too much. Hm.

I like the idea. My suggestion is to try and put the entries in some form of order, then look at TTA's responses in order of the entries.
