So I was curious about the connection between IRIS and Sunshine Mine, so I had this conversation with IRIS...

Not sure what to ask now. Iris seems to like this "code" I'm using to communicate with her and seems pretty forthcoming...any ideas on lines of questioning?

me. So, Bernd Post, the best answer for your query is to say that based
on cannister size, rough fluid volume, and the most recent

Interesting, Fernandocarulli, you've made contact with the IRis DevTeam -- from 2062.

Now what to do with that, then..

Hah - that's about as random a set of response as I've ever seen. You'll have to let us know how that recipe comes out.

I got an email from CR yesterday:
Quote:

Just curious, has IRis ever referred to me?
*C

I replied back to him, that as of this morning we did get something related to him as a result of a direct query, and showed him the results. I also asked that if he could narrow down what he was looking for as far as responses from Iris it might be easier to get him the information he was looking for - as we've gotten so many. I also asked him if he cared if I shared his email address with everyone, rather than trying to funnel all the questions/answers thru me.

Actually the music is a repeat also. This is the first song posted to this thread (and the site?). Which I had not identified until now. It is

Another response from CR, with his ok to share his email address:
Quote:
from Craig Rogers <craig>

Please call me Craig, I do not like the Mr. Rogers reference - jokes soon follow.

I sent you the e-mail below while in a funk and I was looking for reassurance of some kind that my current work would not only be successful (which I am happily now expecting) but that she would somehow remember me to the point of inquiry. I suppose I was hoping for a random "How is Craig doing?" sort of response from your IRis contact. Silly now that I think about it.
As for the seeming Human Resources type of response, I'm not sure what to make of it other than it probably is what it appears to be. Although the "CreatorClass" bit almost reminds me of naval ship designations.
It's just been this weekend that I've really been thinking about the potential consequences for what contact you and your associates seem to be connecting with. When time is involved everyone defaults to discussing the butterfly effect; always when referencing going back in time. This is a bit more of a conundrum, though because you are establishing a portal of some kind through time - into what hasn't occurred yet - which can probably have just as many catastrophic consequences for us all.
My colleagues, although incredibly fascinated, are urging me to create a failsafe of some kind that will prevent this reverse information flow. It's fun for all if this IRis throws out inconsequential facts about future SuperBowl wins and the like, but what will happen if she begins offering information that could be dangerous? State secrets, matters of intrigue, death dates? Truly knowing the future would create chaos; especially if we learn that it is inevitable; that unlike the multi-universe theories or ideas about mirrored dimensions - what if time truly is just one line that we rumble down like a roller coaster track. That no matter what we do we'll follow the same set pattern and roll back to the platform, exhausted and exhilarated yes - but ultimately back to where we were intended to be.
Finding out that we actually cannot control or change the future in any way, even with foreknowledge, could destroy society. That is the bigger fear in this situation. Of course I could be absolutely and completely wrong.
Feel free to share my e-mail address, but just know that my answers may be delayed, short, or absent - depending on what I am doing and where I am.
*C

This is good news - it leaves everyone open to ask the all important questions that pop into their head when they pop into their head. Smile

Classy - I did have one thought, about that email from Shanna. If someone was making my daughter feel that way, especially someone I considered "friend" and was staying at my house - I'd want to know... But your call.

Sorry, apparently it didn't copy straight out of the email he sent me. Been a busy day at work, and haven't had much chance to keep up.
